Yantan
Err, what does a hoover need a coat for? Yesterday Ruby had to go for a scan after experiencing some rather intense back pain a few weeks ago. The scan showed a "growth" on one of her kidney's. She is seeing her doctor this morning who will start the ball rolling for a referral to a specialist and for either an MRI or CAT scan. Fingers crossed. Yantan
Ah I see! Fortunately mine lives in the cupboard under the stairs. I've never seen a hoover cover or heard of one before now but I'll bet I see or hear more of them now it's come up. If I see a cheaper one I'll give you a shout. eve
How's Jerry today Jazz? Could you get a cheap and cheerful single bed duvet cover for the hoover? Though using it as a coatstand is just as good lol Everything crossed for Ruby Yantan
suzeanna
I hope Ruby doesn't have to wait too long for her scan, it's always a worrying time. If she has a CAT scan she may also need an MRI. I did for the tumours in my spine but it might be different from bone to soft tissue. Do such things as bolster covers still exist? One of those would cover a hoover Jazz. Mine lives in the cupboard under the stairs too, otherwise known as the glory hole.

My bin lives on top of the tumble drier. A bolster is one long pillow instead of two pillows side by side. They used to be common in days of yore! There was one on my bed when I was a child, We are showing our age now, Suzeaana. You can still buy them. I hope you get to your appointment this afternoon and tomorrow, Jazz. Yantan, I hope Ruby gets a quick appointment. They usually are quick when there is something suspicious.

Yantan
Yep they are going to see Ruby next week. All they know so far is that it's not a cyst but a mass of some sort that is pretty bloody large. The C word has been mentioned but we are hoping it will be the 1 in 4 that is benign. suzeanna
The one good thing about kidneys..is that as we have two, if there is something nasty they can remove the kidney and she'll still be ok. Hopefully it won't be nasty anyway. Good news about your arm, Jazz. Now try not to fall on it, over exert it or otherwise mess it up!
griff
Marion, I sincerely hope Ruby's issue is not the big c, I am crossing everything here for a benign growth! suzeanna
Just took Candy up to the playing field up the road. Grass has been cut but left lying so there's lots of dead grass, covering the hole I managed to step in. I went flying and did my devoted dog come to my aid? No she just jumped all over me, thinking it was some new game!
