It has been mixed weather here. Some nice dry spells spolied by rain arriving. Had a long walk today as it was so nice to be out in the dry. Harry is now flat out and I amm enjoying a coffee and thinking about waht I should be doing.

Nothing much happening here. Trying to teach Harry to use his brain. He seems to have been left to his own devices anmd tp please himself. He learns quickly but defaults to his one obsession- giving paws or jumping up. . He thinks that is the answer to everything. Hung washing out and it started raining. Brought it in again, now sun is shining again, but I don't think it will last so not putting it out agin.

Where is Lewis moving to? Got my grass cut on Sunday. I t was getting so long but constantly too wet to cut. The sun and wind on Saturday dries it out a bit. Monday heralded the rain back. so I am glad I managed to get it done. I hope you are not in one the areas that are suffering floods due to all this rain. Will it ever stop? We have spates of cars being stolen around here. My car has keyless opening so I keep the key in a anti theft pouch. Iy blocks the signal to prevent thieves being able to capture the signal from outside the house and make off with the car. Mind you, I don't think a Skoda Fabia is high on the list to steal.

Hope you are feeling better , owl It is warm and sunny here but blowing a gale. I was blown sideways walking Harry. As I came down the passageway betwwen the houses it blew me forward. I could not stop running to keep my balance. Otherwise a quiet day. Didn't risk putting washing out. I doublt it would have stayed on the line.

Iy has not rained today but snow, rain , gales forecast for the next two days but warm temperatures on Saturday. I have a streaming cold preventing me from sleeping properly, so have not dome much today.

Still wet and dreich here. I have ordered a new front door. if the sun shines( that should be WHEN thw sun shines) first thing it shines on my front door until late morning. When tha thappens the lock jams and I either can't open it or can't lock it, depnding on what position it was in. I then have to wait until the sun moves over so it is not shining on the door.

Nothing dpecial this weekend here. April shpwers and intermittent sunshine. Have made some scones.

Still wet here. Everywhere is sodden. No gardening as too wet so not doing much. Car is in garage today. Waiting for a call to pick i up and find out the cost.

Sunny morning but very windy and cold. Off to walk Harry as have an Amzon delivery due after lunchtime. Hope your grandson not too badly hurt. How old is he?

You have a housefull. I hope your friend recovers soon. Sun is making random appearances today.. That is two days it has been dry during the day biu wet again at night. Making slow progress with Harry as he gets some confidence.

Another soggy dog walk this morning but now the sun has come out. Do you remember Happylittlegreensquirrel? Just back from a soggy walk. It has been pouring rain all day and there are large puddles all over. Now to dry off.

Had a lovely meal for Mother’s Day. The car very was very busy. It has been damp and miserable today so gardening done.

Grandson is 12 today and his uncle, my second son,? is 44 today. Where do the years go?

Been a lovely day here. Mnaged my forst tidy in the garden this year. Did some oruning of bushes and the roses.

Getting mny rescue dog.

Combed a football size bundle of hair out of Harry. We have some sunshine today , for a change, but still a cold wind. I am fed up with this cold wind. It has been around all winter. I should be doing some gardening but it is too cold.

We had a good run down , Freezing fog on Sunday morning but it quickly cleared. Good run home. After a fidgiey morning Harry has a long pee at lunch tine breaj settled down to sleep for the rest of the journey. Got home about 7/30 pm- 800 miles there and back. Have had a nice steady walk round the neighbourhood. Harry thought he should speak to everybody we passed.. he is very riendly to everybody so far, including a litle staffy who was desparare to say hello.

Yes, not an insurmountable problem. Probably an inconvenience now that family have moved on. He is in foster with 3 Goldens. When I lost Cleo I thought I would not have any more dogs due to age but , having had one or more at a time since 1972 it just didn’t seem right without a dog. I have trained and competed in obedience, studied dog behaviour due to having a reactive dog, and dabbled in agility. I have seen many changes for the better in training dogs.

Will do. I don't know where we will stop. My son is driving so I am leaving it to him. Harry was surrendered as 'he didn't get on with dog next door' Foster home report he has not put a paw wrong since he arrived- the perfect guest.

I have been getting organised to collect my new companion, a 9 year old golden retriveer. A 8 hour journey tomorrow to Norwich are and 8 hours banc on Sinday with Harry.

Front door lock jammed this morning and I couldn't lock it. Locksmith came and fiddled about with it to get it working. The problem is tyje PvC door is moving due to heat of the sun on it and then it doesn't line up with the locking mechanism. The sun shines on my front door from early hours. Once the sin moves round the door adjusts back.

Gad a busy afternoon. Washing/drying done. soup made and cakes made for my grandson. Now having a rest and a cup of coffee.

Thanks owl, that is what they are. The site I looked a tonly gave the male version. The two males come together and the two females come together. Sunny but cold today but it is nice to have some brightness after several dull days with ramdom rain showers.
