May's Mundane Mutterings

After three lovely days down here it is back to rain again! At least I got my first camping weekend in the sunshine, a two day agility show.

Glen came back with 4 clears and Molly 2 (although Molly could have had more if her handler wasn't such a numpty!!!)

Our agility club did extremely well and came away with a lot of the prizes, we are lucky to have a good club that has a fun attitude still and is happy to have a mix of competetive and non-competetive handlers.

Cocodamol are beggars for that. I find Solpadeine Max really help with migraines.

Hope it wears off soon

Well done San & doglets. Lovely to hear of people and dogs having fun together

Thanks for everything you've done with the forum Rick. Go easy with the rouge.

. Our conservatory needs a complete overhaul. We never sit out there and there is a bike and cross trainer in it. We haven't any heating so it's a room going to waste. I just go in there periodically and give it a good clean but must get it sorted.

Ours got like that, just built up over time, so we got everything out yesterday while it was sunny and did lots of throwing out and general tidying up.

now to start on the cosmetics

Thanks for all your hard work, Don't forget the lippy

What a wild night it was last night with the wind and the rain. All is calm this morning though and at least it's dry (for now!)

Wasn't a bad day here once the sun came out.

This is our team

I am still knackered though, getting too old for this camping lark. Saying that I will be doing the same in three weeks!!

Great pic, well done all of you, so many rosettes!!

Hope you feel better soon Alex

I'm going to watch 56 up tonight. I have seen every one of these programmes since the beginning and find it fascinating to see how the young children's lives have unfolded. :)

Had a busy day yesterday with things for once going my way for a change. Had to go in person to DVLA to change the tax class on mums car from disabled and get a new tax disc which can only be done at the local office in Bristol last time we did this when I had the Chrysler we were waiting over 4 hours! I was absolutely dreading it and went straight from work expecting to be there most of the afternoon, however, this time I was in and out and all done in under 20 mins *yay* we were so ahead of ourselves on time that we decided to go get the car straight away and bring it home :happystrange: somehow or another we also managed to stay ahead or behind the rush hour traffic so it was a delay free trip both ways.

Also scrapped hubbys old ford escort yesterday, again hassle free and we got a bit more than we thought for it, they have offered me £180 for the Chrysler - now thats such a shame really, shes got 10 mths MOT and asside from a couple of relatively minor things (squealy steering belt as its new and just needs adjusting) its far too good to scrap, but looking on ebay its not worth very much and by the time I pay listing fees etc I wouldnt get much more than the scrap value. It will break my heart to let her go for scrap - I love that car.

Oh bugger I missed this! I'll hopefully catch it on iPlayer though. I've been watching it since 21 up and have always enjoyed it. A few years ago I was in the Oxfam shop in Penrith and was served by a chap who I felt I had met before but as he plainly didn't recognise me I said nowt. It was only later that I realised why I thought I knew him - it was Neil from the 7 Up and onwards series. His was the story that got me most - such a happy, gorgeous little boy who went on to have a very troubled life.

Snow I feel your pain over losing the Chrysler. I get stupidly attached to cars. I sold my Astra Cesaro, Tarquin, to an old workmate when Tarquin was 14 and I had him from new. It was a big wrench to let him go - even worse was that just 3 weeks later the new owner wrote him off on black ice. I was so upset I cried when I found out. What an ignominious end for a great little motor.
