I would like to point out grumble that my greyhound tall thin skinny short haired spaniel made me walk for some time in the rain this morning... Az came with us but at least he looked decently quiet in the rain and didn't go careering around the place at top speed wearing a huge grin and sending sheets of water flying everywhere as Mollydog did.

well we can't all be equally lucky :bigtongpul:

Why are so many managers so crap at their job? So many just can't manage a team. I really hope you find another job quickly Jules. :GroupHug:

So pleased to hear of Spike doing normal spikey things. Way to go sweetheart. The medical is based on my incapacity benefit. I know I've stuffed up the way I've answered the questions.

Mollydog sounds like she should have been a gundog. She's not wearing a greyhound costume is she? Maybe the zip stuck.

Boss just rang to hear if I'd go with her and the horses to her lessons tomorrow instead of morning duties at the kennels... ermm Yes! She is picking me up here at home at 8:30 :D

These days, I am loving my job

Way to go Spike

Anne, sounds as though you have found a great new boss :) How did your hand get on at the doctor's?

Michelle, you're right, some people don't have a clue how to manage. They fail to realise that you get the best out of your staff if you treat them with respect and acknowledge their work positively. I've left at least one job due to my direct manager.

Cher, you are not to blame, you tried your hardest! :flowers:

ermm none the wiser really. Incidently the doctor I saw used to be a specialist in this sort of thing before he became a GP, and he was pretty confident that the nerve damage is permanent. He gave me three options:

One, to do nothing at all and just live with the annoyance.

Two, to have it re-examined in august next year (a year from incident) to see if it has become better, and if not, get referral to specialist, who will give option of risky, complicated surgery that might leave me worse off than I am now.

Three, get the referral now, to be told the above.

I opted for the second option... Not keen on surgery, don't have the time and would hate for it to end up worse!

I am feeling very down. I tried to help the rottie called Rocky and i found him a good home. Sadly it fell through. No fault of mine or the potential owner really but I have been made to feel guilty about it. I just tried. x

At least you tried and gave it your best shot. Try not to take any nastyness to heart :flowers:

Nothing would surprise me... I think she would have liked to be a collie really but she wasn't able to pass the exams...

Hope the medical exam goes well.

Really hope Rocky finds another home, but don't feel down for trying, I always think it's amazing how many contacts with homes you manage to find, nobody can manage it 100%!

Ah yes, and I forgot :

Meeting with feckwit manager was a complete waste of time. Please can someone enlighten me as to how 2 full time employees can 'absorb' another day of work when the new worker decides to drop a day and lie to the manager that we've said it's ok.We did not say it was ok and if I was the manager I'd say tough to the new employee but oh no in true styleee myself and Sarah have to 'absorb' and new girl gets to keep her day off. Feckwit

Sorry I feel completely self absorbed because I am fed up of feeling knackered, stressed and moany about work :flowers:

It's pants isn't it? :GroupHug: So I guess you're expected to do extra without extra pay? Similar to where Ian works. There used to be seven in his department. Some took voluntary redundancy, others moved to different departments now Ian is the only one left doing all the work that seven men used to do  No extra pay, no thanks, no nuffink.

Cher you did your best. No-one can do more than that. :GroupHug:

Have just been out with Master Scoobs. He was in a good mood which is just as well as 2 bikes and 3 joggers all came past us on the pavement. He even ignored 2 boxers coming the other way on tother side.

Hope your hand does improve in that time Anne. :GroupHug:
