Mum's union rep has just amended the email we were going to send to her team leader requesting a change of day for the meeting, i have had to send it off my email address so the team leader doesn't get my mums email address... hopefully the day will be changed and she will have a witness with her from now on

Nice bit of sunshine here today.... which i had put my fake tan on now

thanks Merledogs, she has had the unions help throughout but the manager who was supposed to be sorting it in a friendly way has moved on, the new one is very pally with the team leader so no good talking to her, the person over he contact centre has had it bought to her attention by 2 people...she yelled at my mum in front of everyone adn 2 ladies who wouldn't normally say anything took themselves off to the contact centre manager! she also had an email off a young lady who was leaving pointing out what this woman is doing and she just went "yeah thanks..see ya" type of thing, i swear no-one gives a stuff, makes me glad i worked with men who said it how it was and got it off their chests, few words exchange..mainly swear ones and all was sorted and dealt with, out for beers that friday or saturday night and the whole place were back to getting on. I don't like bullies, i think there is something lacking in them and i take exception to companies letting them get away with it and even worse for a large employer like a council to be aware of it and allow it to continue.

The nurse at the clinic said it was up to me whether I had the Jap En vaccine. July isn't peak season, and I only have 2 nights when I am likely to be at risk (when I'm in my treehouse). It's £89 a vaccine and I'd need 2. Am really not sure whether to get it done or not

I have a new phone - since I got my apple watch, my older iPhone wasn't doing too well. I was due an upgrade, so I got an iPhone 6 plus. It's huge

Lol, that is what cracks me up with phones, they got them down to such a small size, you got laughed at if you had a big phone.....they are now back on their way to big phones

ooooo i don't know what you should do about the jabs, it's a lot of money isn't it but should you take the risk of nott having it? Nightmare

Yeah you have yourself a dilemma Jayne. They are expensive but can you put a price on good health? I'm not sure what I would do. I seem to have severe reactions to jabs. I had a smallpox jab when I was still in school, back in the 70's, and developed a horrible sore at the site of the injection. It leaked bloody yellow puss that stunk to high heaven! Then back in the early 80's when I was going to west Africa I had a yellow fever jab and ended up having 3 days off work following it. It really knocked me off my feet. My boss at the time was far from pleased!

Griff I am sorry your mum is having all this trouble at work. I don't take s*** from anyone and would have faced this manager down but I get that others don't have my confrontational style. I hope she gets a resolution to the situation that suits her :flowers:

Well I woke up at 5.40am this morning following a very restorative 7 plus hours of sleep so Archie and I were out the door at 6.15am! We had a super walk, really quiet and peaceful. It will get super busy here from about mid morning and stay that way all week but fortunately from Monday our dog walker is taking Archie every day until (and including) Friday so I don't need to get stressed out with all the tourists. Plus it's nice for Archie to socialise with his pals. If the weather gets warm - as the forecast is promising - the DW will take them all swimming too which is a plus.
