May's Multiple Murmurings

Oh the joys of technology, Alex! We are with BT broadband and recently went to Infinity..I may be jinxing us by saying it, but so far it's been fine. Any problems we've had have been down to our computer, which as OH tells me is old now..it's only four, for heaven's sake! It will have to limp on for some time yet, we can't afford another one.

Spoke to my daughter yesterday via WhatsApp..in case anyone doesn't have it, it's a free service for a year then only something like 69 p a year after that. All text and photo messages to someone on WA are free, and they have now brought in free chat, so you can make a phone call to anyone anywhere for nothing so long as you are on Wifi. Amanda was telling me they'd been for a five hour walk (they are in Alonissos, Greece) and managed to collect two tiny kittens on the way...they'd noticed a builders yard which had an open shed with cat food inside, so they put the kitties in there, opened some food for them and then ran like mad to get out of sight before they followed them home. She says the people on the island do look after cats, some belong to people but most don't but they all look well fed and they have a neutering programme running, which is good.

Suzeanna, computers don't seem to last as long as they did anymore, i bought a samsung one 3 years ago and i had to replace that around 6 months ago and this Acer one i have behaves most oddly Lol

Awww i would have been tempted to keep the kitties, how are your daughters cats settling in now?

Alex, give them a rocket up their bum!!! i am with plusnet and they are so incredibly helpful, when my email program went a bit nuts the lad spent nearly 2 hours on the phone trying to help me out...... he was so patient trying to explain it to me who is a dim wit with computers

Absolutely pelting down today, i will risk walking the dogs and that is as far as i go Lol

It was meant to clear here by lunchtime...still raining steadily. I opened the back door and shoved Rosie out..she went three steps, turned round and belted back in! She must need to go, but she's flatly refusing to go out on her own, and I don't want to go out in the rain...my back, hips shoulders and neck are very painful at the moment and being cold and wet won't help. I'm cold as it is, but at least I'm dry!

My walk was dreadful, got halfway round the field with kota and she sort of lunged behind a tree... a crow had got a little baby pigeon, couldn't tell if it was alive or not but it moved, managed to tie kota to a tree and go and pick the bird up... got back and untied kota and had to hobble holding the pigeon in my right arm and my crutch and lead in the left dragging the crutch behind me, kota was so good! got home and managed to grab a box to pop it in and shove kota in the crate alongside deags, deags was very confused as to why she wasn't getting a walk, got outside and it chucked it down so we hid on my friends patio by the bus stop, managed to hobble holding the box and with one crutch up to the vets where sadly the pigeon died, i am gutted... i knew it wasn't going to make it but couldn't just leave it lying there, so £4 lighter on bus fare and a pack of tennis balls for my 2 girlies for being so good and patient. Good job my new tens pads arrived as i am in agony! supposed to be training tonight but will have to see

Evening.

Sorry about the baby birdy griff :GroupHug: People thought I was bonkers when I found an injured pigeon in the back garden and took the day off work to drive to a wildlife sanctuary an hour away to drop it off. Turned out it was just stressed and was fine afterwards, but I didn't know that at the time.

I've spend a couple of hours this afternoon with my new 'boss'. We've had a brainstorming session and decided on a few things re the direction of the department.

It's pizzing down here.
