owl
Thanks everyone for making me feel better. Love that T-shirt. Sam, I am not bad with the verbals, usually aiming for clean language but not excluding sarcasm. But I have to avoid conflict when out with Wispa as she gets super-stressed when humans argue and she matters more than any idiot. I am happier today anyway, as a cocker spaniel 8 months old was on the run here in Worksop, and she has now been caught after various adventures including falling into the canal.
owl
Planning officer came to take photo of offending structure as he had to by law, as complaint had not been withdrawn. So he came and took a photo of where it had been and told me he could not understand all the fuss as a pod there did not affect anyone else. He will now write to the complainers. I wonder what he will say.
merledogs
Moaning owl I'm glad the planning officer saw sense Jayne - don't try and tempt me with garden centres! RMF : As you may know, I've been giving some of my plants to my team at work to try and drastically reduce the numbers. Another member of my team had her MIL go into the hospital at the top of my road for a spell. As it's all permit parking only round here (because of the hospital), I lent her FIL a parking permit so he didn't have to pay and display every day. As a thank you (which wasn't required), he gave said colleague some money to buy you a thank you gift. What did she get me? A flippin plant Jazz griff - we use a third party specialist company for occy health, but I've just seen them over something else so don't want to go down that route. When I went to the doc before she said if it came back to let her know and she'd send me for physio, so will do that. Thanks for the suggestion though Edited March 25, 2014 by merledogs

snow
I was at Vickys super secret surprise baby shower on Sunday with mil which went well, Baddie spent the day at home with Rob & Sal - this was only their 2nd meeting, the first one a couple of weeks ago didnt go too well - she snapped at him, bit him and drew blood probably our fault to a large extent as we took Baddie over to mils so we were on her territory even though intros were done outside on neutral ground and they were walked together without issue - indoors was a different matter. I was a wee bit anxious, however, we put a baby gate up between them so each had half a house and each had their own entrance/exit to the garden so Rob was able to rotate them around without them needing to get too close to each other but they could see and sniff each other and get used to being in the same house together. They went for walkies side by side so a few more visits like that and hopefully she will learn that we wont tolerate any of her nonsense/jealousy and its completely unnecessary. Nick, Vicky & Bruno are coming to stay this weekend and that'll be the first time Baddie has met them - so we are going to do the same thing with the gate until Bruno relaxes around Baddie, Nicks a bit concerned that Bruno might kick off - whereas I am far less worried about Bruno than I was about Sal, Bruno just has small dog syndrome and as soon as he realises Baddie wont hurt him he'll be fine whereas Sal is a bossy mare and needs watching until she accepts him. griff
awwww Sam, i am so very sorry, having just lost Laney so suddenly and unexpectedly i know how you must be feeling... when they are ill you get time to adjust to the fact you are going to lose them..... when they are fit healthy and suddenly gone it seemed much harder to me.... big hugs sent your way Jazz, have you tried putting the dogs out, shutting the door with all of you in the garden and being dead stubborn and not letting them in until they have wee'd? that is how i have to get kota to go, she spots rain and she is not happy at all Lol Murtle, lucky you... a free workout on your way to work... can't knock the transport system Lol just measured the pup and ordered her harness... in pink again, at least nobody will call her a boy Lol, will have to dye my hair back to pink and black and then we will be coordinated Lol Edited March 25, 2014 by griff
