Still at home. At least the sun has come out though.

Woken at 4am to OH letting me know Cocoa was being sick. Cleaned that up and struggledo get back to sleep! Then Butter came through the bedroom window and left muddy paw prints over the clean bedding!

Now to try and be productive again. I like being at home, just not when my head is about working!!

Hope you had a better night sleep Yantan.

I didn't get nearly as far as I wanted with Archie :( It's not fair on him so I've booked the stand-in DW for tomorrow and Thursday plus another 2 days next week whilst our regular DW is on holiday.

We follow a long narrow path into the wood which is about 5 minutes from our house. Now there used to be a bin sited at the end of the path right before entering the wood. This was very handy for getting rid of poo bags as Archie inevitably performs somewhere along this path. However they shifted this bin to the opposite end so rather than walk all the way back I bagged up and left it to one side to be picked up and binned on the way back - no sense taking it round the wood with us!

So having done that the next thing is I hear a posh voice came from behind me. "And just who is going to pick that up?" it demanded to know. I turned round to see a distinguished grey haired man. I gave him my best "don't mess with me" look as I replied "I am - on the way back. Gotta problem with that?". That disarmed him and he got all embarrassed and started chatting to me to cover it even asking me if I need his arm to get up the slight incline - it's rather obvious that I have trouble walking properly. As people who don't pick up after their dogs is something that really gets me mad I was rather glad that someone was willing to confront a dog walker over a poo issue but at one and the same time as I am and always have been scrupulous after about cleaning up after my dogs it was a tad annoying .

Where are these people when the wazzack is around that allows their dog/s to poo all down our back lane and never cleans up? Or on the pavements around here?

I did sleep rather better last night thanks for asking Murtle :flowers: I hope Cocoa is OK and the sickness was just a one-off.

Yeah Griff the weather here doesn't know what to do. It looks like rain but has done all morning and so far nowt. Not that I am complaining!

I'd have given my OH very short shrift it he'd woken me to do something he could have done himself...you are a nicer person than me, obviously!

I was reading a sad story of a 14year old girl who killed herself after online bullying, but one thing puzzles me..if a particular site upsets you, why go onto it? If someone told you there was a house in your street that if you entered you'd be beaten up, you wouldn't go in...so why go on these sites just to read horrible things? Is it me??

Yantan, glad the man said something but it is annoying when you have issues walking and clean up yet others who are bone idle just don't bother... must admit i did screech after one of my neighbours once.... i had just nearly trodden in something and then his dog went to the loo whilst he was too busy playing golf so i gave him what for at the top of my voice to ensure everyone heard!

Murtle, hope Cocoa has stopped being sick now, your OH sounds like my dad... he informs me if somebody has been ill or gone to the loo even though he will have had to walk past it to let me know

Suzeanna, i agree... if you don't like what is being said don't visit the site... if you don't know about it, it can't hurt you... doesn't make it right and i think it is awful that such a young life has been lost, i don't get how people can enjoy bullying or upsetting somebody else.

Murtle - sounds like something my dad would do. If he has been woken up by someone being sick or something, the whole house knows about it. Apparently he was using the vax at 4am on Saturday after Ted had peed somewhere   Why it couldn't have waited till the morning, I am not sure.... Also how he knew Ted had peed at 4am I am not sure either

I agree Suzeanna, if you don't like a site for any reason, don't go on it

Have had another ok day off so far, evil abs class this morning, followed by a good riding lesson on Blue. Back to mine for a quick shower before coming here to let the dogs out. Been to the doctors to get some more stuff for my skin - he has given me something that causes horrendous birth defects, so he made it quite clear not to become pregnant. As this stuff is topical, doG knows what it is if it can cause problems to an unborn baby just from applying it to your face  Anyhow, I don't need to worry about that - need a bloke first before I think about kids  Couldn't help but smile at the doctor today though, he's a lovely junior doctor. Quite fit, but today he was wearing bright blue jeans and a slightly different shade of blue checked shirt. Couldn't help but wonder if he got dressed in the dark or something   He's such a nice doctor though, always asks me if I have been to Mexico yet (I asked him for vaccination advice a couple of months ago).

well Gooster, if he goes out dressed like that he is either single or his Mrs doesn't care Lol, i lecture my dad on clothes and he is my mums responsibility Lol (she won't let him out of the house in certain things....in fact she "loses" shirts she doesn't like) . oooo errr that medication sounds lovely but if it works then that's fair enough

Jayne it might have a high dose of vitamin A in it. I got something from the dermatologist that I had to sign an agreement for. I was warned not to get pregnant whilst using the stuff as it could cause birth defects and that was down to the vitamin A in (although there may also have been other things in it that I don't recall, this was 20 plus years ago)

Griff I am chuckling at your mum "losing" certain shirts belonging to your dad

its tragic isn't it , I think 14 year olds see things very differently to us "more mature folk" and to them whats online is so so so important and very real plus the need to fit in thats paramount at that age.

I remember my daughter being bullied at that age both at school and online but she was still desperate to confirm and be accepted so did not always make wise choices about who she interacted with , now she is 20 years old ( I know I know ) and she laughs at the things she said when she was 14 or what she thought was important

with that said I know people nearly 3 times her age with less online judgement and I am always amazed at what some people share and discuss online

Makes me feel old I can tell you !

Sadly with social network sites if you are being bullied on that where does a child go to socialise. The world is a very strange place. I feel old with you Sam! I don't like all this social network stuff, I like old fashioned things like meeting up and chatting and paper and pen...as I am sat here typing on an online forum!

I guess suzeanna, the other dog forum would be a good thing to compare it to, but with the emotional knowledge of a child.

They might get my contract sorted out tomorrow.

Oh and Yantan you were indeed correct about vitamin a x

I wonder if the Thomson Dreamliner has a funny remote control thingy  My seat will be a bit different to that one as I have seat 1a,so won't have a seat in front of me :)

Hope you get your contract sorted Murtle :flowers:

 at your mum losing some of your dad's clothes Griff - wish my mum would do that with some of my dad's clothes - some of his clothes are knackered - they just need binning, but he continues to wear them as he doesn't do clothes shopping.

Will have a look at what the medication has in it - not planning on having kids any time soon, but I don't want it to affect anything for the future

Hope Albert is feeling better soon :flowers:

It's not just online, people say things to each other in emails and private messages which they would not dream of saying face to face. And probably not in an ordinary letter. And then block the other person from replying!

I find social networking sites invaluable for helping find lost dogs, but other than that I could happily give them a miss.

Poor Albert :( is he eating ok etc?

Things are chaotic here. May end up moving to mums and living in garage while waiting for log cabin to arrive and be erected, as friend who I mentioned before is being evicted as landlord is selling house. The only solution if she can't find anywhere which takes pets by end of this month is for her to put furniture into storage and move into mine until she finds somewhere, while Wispa and I park ourselves with a bed and a sofa in the garage. I don't want to play a game of musical chairs with houses, but it is shaping up that way. We do have a dogsitting and housesitting date for 10 days in early Sept looking after 3 ickle yorkies who Wispa adores.
