Snow, I hope all the viewings turn up something good for you. How soon do you have to move out of your current house?

Hubbys last day of service is 30th April so from 1st May we will be "illegally occupying" our quarter and our rent will go up between £14 and £19 per day - we'll be issued with a notice to quit which essentially means we are legally "homeless" however obviously they have to get a court order to evict us and thats what they will do (they have to do this as its the only way some councils will allow exforces to go onto the housing lists) but all costs associated with that are charged to us  that process takes time so in theory we could stay here until Sept/Oct but incurring legal costs the entire time.

Thats what I thought too Alex however just checked and they are advertising it as 2 bedrooms 2 reception rooms and the the details say this:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed - its not quite where we would like to be but its a bungalow, it'll need a teeny bit of rejigging as whoever was there last was disabled so the drive has had a huge wheelchair ramp added so you can't park a car on it, plus the garage has been converted into an outside store, and the bathroom only has a disabled shower in it (might keep that). Nice garden - though needs tidying up and trees cutting back. If there is a usable 3rd room then it would be on my shortlist for sure.

It looks as if the loft extension has been made without Building Regulation approval.

It's possible to bring the construction up to the required standard after you've bought the property

Thanks Ziltha :flowers:

We've just had some awful news can I ask for all your positive thoughts please? One of Nick's closest friends works part time as a airsoft marshall not sure yet exactly how its happened but he has been shot in the eye with an airsoft pellet which shattered his eye protectors. He's having emergency surgery right now and a specialist eye surgeon has been called for as they think he may lose the eye. :mecry:

Gooster I reckon that senior bod is feeling threatened by you which is why she is always on your case. I have to say as soon as I start feeling pressurised into buying anything I am out of there. I have happily used Spec Savers for the last dozen years or so without being pressurised until the last time I got new glasses when I felt I was given the run-around and bamboozled. I ended up spending more money than I could really afford and with an extra pair of reading glasses I didn't need and had to pay for despite being given the impression that they were being thrown in for free or at nominal cost (I forget the details) Anyway as a result when I go for my next eye test I am going to a local independent optician. I am also warning other people about Spec savers. I don't know if this is who you work for but if it is please feel free to pass my comments on. Had I got someone like you I would still be a customer!
