So sad about those miners :mecry:

Jes&Cos, good to see you here and to know that all is going well.

I have a link to post to a piccy in the Wakefield Express and don't know if it will work so will give it a try:

And yes it does.

It worked earlier for me but now it goes to the Photos Today site. What you do is scroll down the drop-down list to Wakefield Express and select that. Then click on September and scroll through to page 26 (will probably be on a later page tomorrow when more recent pics are added) and look for the pic with 3 people and a spotty dog, and click on that.

I can't see the photo from the link but found it from Phebe's description. Hopefully this

alternative link might work?

I'm not sure if I've previously said but my mum had another stroke as an effect of the brain op 3 or 4 weeks ago. She's making slow but good progress and was moved to a third hospital last night. Hopefully the intensive physio and specialist care will have her up and about soon. My Dad has been unwell this week too, so I waited with him for the out of hours doctor until the early hours one morning. He seems to be back in full control freak mode as of yesterday though

Fingers crossed for a good recovery for your Mum, Karen

My son's fiancee is a lovely girl but a very troubled soul. She took an overdose last night and is currently awaiting results of blood tests to see what, if any, long term damage has been done. Praying she's ok.

Back to the garden to keep busy for now

well done Owl and Wispa.

The walk on Brean sands last week was very good and the weather was ok for most of it. there were some lovely dogs there too. There was one little puppy who stole the show for me though and came over to introduce itself.

My working week starts early, as I will be attending a community event tomorrow. I will be on my own, as no one really likes doing Sundays, but there should be lots of people there.
