griff
nigel and tess merledogs...come and see my gp's they send you off to the hospitl no questions asked! i have had my heart done complete with ECG and Echocardiogram...more xrays on my ankle &hip than you can believe, and i am off to see the ENT geezer tomorrow after 1weeks wait...not to mention the fact that he keeps trying to send me back to the hospital to see the orthopaedic fellas again (not on your life!)i didn't know that you had to be triaged i just get referred no bother....it's not really right that where you live in the country dictates what care you get. Katsinc....your poor puss cat i had a problem with 1 cat round here... the only thing i have managed to do is make our back garden private for dex cat so he has a place of safety...there is just one cat that seems to have adopted us and keeps hanging about the dogs soon see it off though (shame as it hasn't harmed dex and it might be a friend of his)could you make your cat his own little place of safety??? we did it with prikka strips and brush screening

My garage door cable snapped this afternoon causing the dor to drop and almost behead me Am waiting for fixer man to fix it...another £85 gone. Remind me I'm working tomorrow will you,I've already forgotten to go to one appointment this afternoon

It's not quite that straightforward unfortunately (complicated and don't really want to go into it until if/when I get the diagnosis) but thanks for offering to lend me your GP I had a carp afternoon at work, my boss was being a d1ck, but I have had a chinese, half a lager while I waited for said chinese, and two glasses of wine., so am feeling a bit squiiffy. I'm such a lightweight these days Jules

Alex you know our numbers or pm me if you need help any time and I know a man who knows where you live Hope you get sorted for once and for all very soon. Had to stop taking the antibiotics as they made me ill so I'm getting on with it

chickentikka
I've been lurking most of the week. Last weekend I had to rush Dex to the emergency vets as his leg had swollen up and he was in pain and couldn't walk on it - he'd been diagnosed with a tumour but the vets had previously said they couldn't operate as he didn't have enough spare skin, it's right on his front ankle joint so also kept splitting and oozing. Sunday afternoon I was told he had septicemia and the emergency vets wanted to amputate his front leg. I just know that he would not have coped as all his weight is at the front in his chest. I brought him home Sunday night doped up to the eyeballs after practically being told I was killing him and took him to my vets early on Monday. He's been at my vets all week, who pumped him full of antibiotics and everything else and then operated on Weds morning and got as much of the tumour out as they could, we have to wait and see if they got it all. Been a bit of a hairy up and down couple of days since then but he's now well enough and is home for the weekend He's got a massive great padded bandage all up his leg and I was told to keep him quiet, within minutes of me bringing him in and settling him down I went into the kitchen and then heard grr thump - him and Fleur were having a wrestle I firmly believe in quality over quantity of life and will not keep putting Dex through weeks like this if the operation hasn't been succesful however for now things look quite good
merledogs
Tiks - sorry to hear about Dex's tumour but pleased that he's feeling up to wrestling Michelle - thank you RMF : Police have cornered Raoul Moat in Rothbury. Currently he apparently has a gun pointed at his own head, but I really hope it ends soon without any more loss of life.
Spins4me
for Dex and Tiks We're going away for four nights on a completely mad and insane, "well you only live once" whim. Trouble is OH is being so fecking irritating that we won't make it because any minute now I'm going to stick a sharp implement in him.

There was someone on face book saying they knew him and were shocked because the person they know is different to this. Its a sad situation from start to finish. chickentikka
Everything crossed for Dex's recovery. Life just sint fair. No it's not and is even more unfair for millions of people. Dex and I met just over 7 years ago and after a few short days it developed into total mutual love, we've both been fantastically priviliged to have had this relationship. I know he's my 'once in a lifetime' dog and if I have to say goodbye tomorrow or in several years it won't hurt any less but will never change how lucky and blessed I am to have found him. Helly
Tikka. How lovely that Dex gives you so much joy. I hope the vets have done a grand job patching him up for you. My dad has been referred to a cancer specialist in Manchester today. His treatment had looked pretty good last time, but it would appear its back and agressive. The practical sod was making me ring the tax office today to fix a problem, sort out the online banking and set up the VAT online, just incase he dies so Im not totally clueless with that side of the business. It kind of puts into perspective the total insignificance of the asswipe who has been sniping at me for the last few days. Some things in life are important to me. Somoe people really are not.
