Which brand lense are you wearing now & if you use a wetting/soaking solution which one do you use?

errm no idea - they are from Specsavers  so far I've had a toric which is comfy to wear for 11 hours without me even trying comfort drops and its a night&day lens, today I've got a different one in I think its a standard lens, I wore it for the first time yesterday but only managed 6 hours before it became uncomfortable even using Blink comfort drops and I have 1 still in it's packet which is spherical? its Easy Vision all purpose solution that I'm using with them.

I wear my lenses for 17 hours a day & they're comfortable the whole time (but they weren't always*) I wear Acuvue Oasys with HydraclearPlus, not sure if they'd be suitable for you but worth asking. I use Opti-Free Replenish solution which has been a godsend.

* when my optician first started me on these lenses he advised me to use another solution and I hated the lenses from the beginning, my eyes were constantly dry & were even worse when I took the lenses out. My vision deteriorated but my optician treated me like I was an idiot so I got a second opinion at Boots opticians. The contact lense specialist there spotted immediately that I was allergic to the solution I was using, it was making my eyes so dry that the lenses were almost welded to my cornea and every time I took them out they were taking cells from my cornea with them which was causing the problems with my vision :(

Since changing to the Opti-Free solution my vision has improved and I hardly notice I'm wearing the lenses. It's for silicone hydrogel and soft lenses, I'd definitely recommend it if it's suitable for your lenses but it's really important to soak the lenses for at least the minimum time.

Keep trying different lenses until you find the right ones for you and get a second opinion if you're not happy :flowers:

Caustic soda is just as effective Jazz and a fraction of the price flowers.gif

I'm back. The exam was another stinker. Just hope I've scraped through cos I really can't go through this again. The next exam is different in that you get the case study two weeks before the exam and you can take your books into the exam, so am hoping that's going to make it much easier.

Am having lunch, then off to Warrington, get some petrol and then relax.

Had lunch, went to Warrington to collect rug (which has the same batch number on but still isn't the same colour rolleyes.gif). It's lighter than the one I kept, whereas the other one I exchanged was darker, but I give up, I can't be faffed even though I know it will irk me to look at it. Dogs are currently enjoying the rugs which are lovely and soft underfoot unlike the hard flatweave rugs I previously had down which were horrid (but practical). No doubt these will stink of wee within a day or two, but I have a bissell and at least they are dark so the dirt doesn't show as much laugh.gif

I feel exhausted cos I haven't slept properly in ages, was up extra early this morning and I have worn my brain out. And I have to drive to Vodafone in Newbury tomorrow, 7 hour round trip, deep joy :tired:

Still, at least the exam's out of the way for now, even if I have to resit it later rolleyes.gif so I can have this weekend to myself :pinkie: I plan to do NAFF ALL!
