Thanks :flowers: I don't want to throw myself a big pity party, really. I'm just trying to make sense of things and deal with them properly instead of just shoving mentally to one side. With the help of my therapist, I see how 'strong' I've been getting through several pretty traumatic things on my own, because I just didn't have the support. And that in turn has helped me realise that I often now don't recognise support when it's there. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I actively reject it - not consciously, but I do it nonetheless. That's a hard thing for me to get round.

mooandboo, I have obviously missed something again. What/where is the new addition please

I have just been to the doctor to deal with something else from my past that I suppressed. I had a miscarriage 12 years ago. No one wanted to talk about it after the event (went for my first scan, no heartbeat, D&C a day later), so I didn't talk about it either. I had no support so I just got on with things, pretty much blotting it out (although I was petrified throughout my pregnancy with Ro). I could tell you the year, and the season, but I had no idea of an actual date. Or even the month, to be honest. It's been eating away at me, so I've been to find out the date. I now have the date and can mark it - and grieve for the baby I lost. Knowing the actual date has brought a lot of stuff to the surface, but that's good because I can let go of all the feelings that I've squashed.

Sorry, that's all a bit depressing.

Not at all Elaine. It just shows the progress you have made that you can now face dealing with these things. :flowers: And having beenthrough myself, probably around the same time in fact, I know how painful it is, and I dont know how I would have gotten through it without. I suppose the not recognising support is due to always having to deal with things without any. :GroupHug:

Julia, You better get a move on or you will miss your flight! Did you recieve the little books I sent you?

Sparkle are you still bored now you are stuffed? And dont forget you have to fit into a tiny spangly dress! :D

Roll on 4pm. Today I break up for a week off work! :partytime: Unfortunately the weather forecast for next week is rubbish and will be pizzing down all week  So we wont be going camping then! Oh well, chance to try and get my car sorted.

surrogate pointy to the GG show on Sunday  :elefant: My two will stay at home with daddy and watch the F1

Ian is going to look at at car tonight. He decided to go for the 'cheap and cheeful' option and although he'll hate it he's going to see a N-reg white Ford Escort. He says it's a chavmobile  £500 with 12 months MOT so it'll do for now.

I am wurrid.

I am a pointy person and a staffy person. I am not and never have been a GSD person, in fact I'd go as far as to say I don't really like them.

Yet I find myself looking at GSD's needing homes more and more often and going

I've found myself more and more drawn to GSD's too!! I've met so many lovely long haired ones that I'm rather smitten!!

I was never a big fan of GSDs but since fostering Lady, and adopting her, we are smitten. She is gorgeous looking (as you can see from the pic to the left) and has such a fab personality, temperament.

:GroupHug: its good that you can open up about how you feel, thats part of the healing process.

Ceri has made bookmarks at school to sell at a mini fete type thing after school tonight. I'm under strict instructions to get there early and buy the ones he's made because his are the best

Such a generous spirited child

My children have had an Entrepreneur Week at school and today from 2-3pm they are selling all the things they have been making.

I am on strict instructions to go and purchase my daughters popcorn and my son's badges !!!

They were so excited this morning about it.
