owl
Sorry can't get over to Channel islands to help, CrB. We don't usually find the dogs if they are on the move, we find where they have been and where they like to go, and then it is up to the humans. We are mainly gathering info. We have found a couple which were stuck in places, and a couple of times the quarry has gone full circle and ended up following us And several times we have talked with people as we go and got news of sightings from them. The Stocksbridge husky searchers are a first class team. They are at present up on the moors having fun with my night vision scope.

Yantan
Jayne if you usually have a Christmas tree you'd better think twice about putting one up this year with the kittens. We got Cozzie and Jimmy as a pair and every day when we would come home for lunch the tree was on it's side. We'd pick it up make it look half way decent only to find we had it all to repeat when we got home in the evening. After a few days of this we took it down and packed it away and did without. merledogs
Definitely no Xmas tree with kittens - been there, done that! Jayne - try compost instead of cat litter. It's far cheaper, more environmentally, the cats love it and when you've finished, just pick out any poo and then put it in the compost bin or on your borders
