I am still here. Had a bit of a depressive wobble on Sunday, but surviving.

Am at the vets with Charlie right now. He's had an upset tummy for a few weeks, apparently last night he slipped and couldn't get up so woke the whole house up howling :( Am hoping they can sort him out.

Snow, the mammograms really aren't that bad...I'm a 40D, so definitely needed squishing, but it was uncomfortable but not painful. The worst bit is waiting for the all clear afterwards! Please do go..if I hadn't bothered to go for one after my GP said my painful lump would only be a cyst (!) the tumour would have been quietly growing and I probably would have had a mastectomy rather than the lumpectomy which I did have. I sympathise with you over the dentist though, I'm not good with dentist and my OH has full blown phobia of them, you practically have to drag him kicking and screaming to have a check up.

Hope Charlie is ok Jayne, and it's something the vet can fix.

I'm a 48F and its almost all boobage just hoping the machine is big enough :D I'm severely phobic of dentists Suzeanna at times its taken several people to manhandle me into the dentists even when I have been in awful pain and I once climbed out of a first floor window and slid down a drain pipe to escape  however in fairness this dentist is brilliant, I have been extremely fortunate to have been accepted by a dental practice who specialise in anxious patients and they do all they can to put me at ease, so I will go and I will go alone which is a HUGE thing for me but I will be terrified and shaking and in full blown flight mode thankfully they know this and allow for it lol The trouble is I know what I'm in for and even though I've had 2 root canals previously 1 with this dentist and they absolutely were pretty much pain free and over in a flash nothing whatsoever can stop me from getting wound up about it - its the damned drills I have problems with the sound of them just sets my nerves on edge and sends me into a blind panic even with me wearing an MP3 player with proper headphones and the music volume on high.

I've had a few mammograms and found them painful - like putting your tit in a vice. The nurse advised me that apparently when my tits go floppy it'll be less painful

Meeting went well okay but have to do a piece of work tomorrow which will be a real pain but at least I'm WFHing. Thanks for the good wishes :flowers:

Jayne I know you are very busy with work and Gym but could you find some time to do some volunteering ?

When I volunteered at Crisis in London they had volunteer health care workers so there might be something near you ?

I have had some dreadful depression over the years post losing my job and I found volunteering really helped me as we as hopefully helping the organisation as well

Had my mammogram I was there and back in 35 mins which is brilliant. Not in the least bit painful :pinkie: a mild moment of me thinking umm ow? then it was over hardest thing for me was twisting into the weird positions I had to get in and she had to do one boob in two halves as I couldn't squish myself close enough and keep my hair, shoulder, rib cage out of the picture LOL but its done now - she did say the new equipment they have is much kinder than the stuff they used to use.

Good job done Snow. I hope the results are good too which I am sure they will be :flowers:

Alvin Stardust has died. I loved him back in the day when I was 12/13/14.

Archie has won a prize on Twitter and he's getting a box of doggy delights

I have men from United Utilities in the garden. Next door (where she has all the eastern european lodgers) has been twining and twining about the damp on our adjoining wall. The front part of her house stands forward of ours so she has an outside wall running down the length of our garden and she's got it into her head that the damp is being caused by the drain from the downspout. Well cutting a very long story short it's the responsibility of UU as it's a shared drain and they came to put a camera down yesterday. The drain DOESN'T run along her outside wall at all! It is however blocked and it will be necessary for some of the flags to come up whilst they excavate down and do the repair. I'm not paying for it so they can get on with it. Next door will no doubt find something else to twine about.

Oh and the problematic unpleasant Czech girl has gone from that house. Hurrah! She went a few months ago as she lost her job - I'm not surprised. A Spanish girl has taken her place and is very nice. Archie likes her and that's good enough for me. If's he out in the garden when she passes she stops to say "hola" and pet him.

Well done Archie  and pleased the whingeing woman has gone.

I've been working hard this morning so am rewarding myself with a spot of lunch and a shoulder wheat bag which is warming my muscles nicely.

Someone please tell me to stop buying bedding - I have one set of 450TC supima; 2 sets of 500TC supima; 1 set of 600TC egyptian cotton and tons of other stuff which are lower thread count so I don't use. So why oh why have I convinced myself I need a set of 800 or 1000 TC bedding?
