Maybe you need a corgi. Susie Shortlegs was a mighty warrier in the battle against the manylegged, if her new owner hadn't been so obviously perfect and so obviously in love I'd have kept her as a pest disposal specialist.

How useful! And a bonus for her adopter.

The late great (as in 2" taller and a stone of solid muscle heavier than breed standard) Mojo puli was a good one with spiders. He didn't hurt them as all owlery residents were under his guardianship whether they were meant to be there or not, but he was always the first to spot one and herd it towards me to be caught in a tumbler. He was the one who kept a pet shrew in his bed and let it eat from his bowl

Polly hunted rats until a couple of years ago when she lost a lot of sight and hearing, but she has never bothered with creepy crawlies except to sniff at them. As for Wispa, I think she may be a bit afraid of spiders and she loathes cobwebs. Maybe I do need a corgi

Spindles farm was the big rescue where there were 40 horses dead and loads put down. The dealer was banned although he is still out there.

A lot of the horses were dispersed into foster and then homes although some are still kept at Redwings. This one was left without mental help although physically he is cared for. He still suffers panic attacks which he is here to be worked with.

I have to first make sure it isnt eye sight or pain related.

Poor baby Lesley, I am sure you will help him no end :GroupHug:

RMF : I have just been hypnotised by Paul McKenna and I feel chilled now, although I must admit I did catch myself doing a little snore at one stage

If anyone hasn't listened to any of his CDs I can highly recommend them for relaxing/falling asleep.

I have just eaten lunch. And am therefore wondering whether to put dinner in the oven now, or ...............

Alica, Scruff is

Twinkle will have to come and meet Bluebell sometime - so called 'cause she's blue, and Tigger travelled from Ireland with a dog called Bluebell (not a chicken or a horse) and it was time Daisy had something which fitted with her name too.

RMF. I have just had to send a price list to someone who wants to know how much by Christmas type cakes will cost - they might want to sell one or two for me. Wibble.

RMF2. I have also received an e-mail asking if I will cater for 50 people for lunches for a weekend. Think the most I have done is about 18. Double wibble. Not sure if my catering's up to that (especially in a Village Hall) - more especially as they're 'posh' folks, or posh animal behaviourists or something going to spend a weekend discussing growling. Not sure what I'm going to do about that. It's in March 2011 - maybe that's why I bought a 2011 diary and calendar last weekend .......

Are there really 50 people who want to spend a while weekend talking about growling?

I have been clearing a backlogue of Christmas card orders!

Some people are very keen & very early & super organised. By the time Christmas is really here I think I will have seen enough Christmas cards!

Morning peeps

Nige, has Cliffy had his results yet

I am picking up a beautiful brindle grey boy from the pound this morning and giving him a lift South. He's gorgeous  And the little scrap of a lurcher pup that went South last weekend looks like he has a home already

Yes sorry I thought I posted, I had a paragraph of words I couldnt even pronouce, never mind understand, and at the end it says "this is a benign tumour, although complete excisation cannot be determined from this sample"

so good news all round, and the deep gash in his neck has now healed up nicely, although I still bath the area in salt water.

Jules, where are the pics of the gorgeous brindle ???

I dont know of 50 posh animal behaviourists. Debbie certainly doesnt growl nor discuss such things at the dinner table and she is adopted posh.

I thought maybe it was time I actually looking up what a weekend of growling was about (it's taken me 24 hours to pluck up the courage). Apparently (if it works) this is it -

Growling

Perhaps Debbie could help me serve the dinners.
