lil_angel
At 2am this morning I was woken to my Mum crying out. Initial reaction was panic and had there been the dreaded early morning phone call to say someone had died. Turns out she was crying out from physical pain. My Mum suffers with IBS but has never had an episode so severe. The pain was coming in waves which she could only compare to the pain of contractions. After speaking with Out of Hours my Mum was admitted to the local hospital at 3am. They sent my Dad home at 5am. Now begins the waiting game whilst she is under assessment. She has been down for x-rays and ultrasound but we are awaiting a phone call to update as to whether she will be allowed home or kept in. If you could spare some good thoughts i would be very grateful I havent really slept since then so have taken the day off work. I dont think I would have been much use if I had gone in anyway. celeste
Best of luck and good wishes for your mum , I have Crohn's Disease so I know how much pain she will have been in , the hospital may give her a colonoscopy too, but on the plus point the pain responds very well to pain relief.
