owl
There were squillions of tadpoles in the ponds and marshes near the visitor centre but we were concerned that they might not survive the drought as some ponds have dried up. Looks as if they grew legs and hopped it just in time.
Yantan
Just a flying visit to let you all know that the Consultant has rung & the consensus is that the tumour hasn't spread beyond the kidney. Yay!! Ruby is now just waiting for an admission date to Newcastle.

suzeanna
Great news about Ruby! Will she need any follow on treatment or is the op all that's needed? Really enjoyed our short break but it was so hot that if you went anywhere but a beach with the breeze it was just too much.

So glad you enjoyed your break If the surgeon is satisfied the tumour is out and there really is no spread I think Ruby just has to recuperate. When she asked the urologist this same question he said it was impossible to answer beyond that with the information he had to hand.
griff
I think what they will do is remove kidney, send it off for testing... once they know what sort they will know if it's likely to have spread and then decide on further treatment
