merledogs Posted January 11, 2014 Author Report Share Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) It was sleeting and v dark when I went out at 8am. The streams were running high and the pipe which Peel Holdings had installed to drain water away from the land where they want to build has made the stream overflow and overwhelmed the culvert so the water isn't running away. I had a letter this week saying that they are appealing the planning committee's decision to deny their planning application - they are appealing to the secretary of state though cos they know Eric Pickles mob are more likely to give them carte blanche to build there. So there will be a public inquiry. It's basically a floor plain in weather like this and it just turns into a bog. If they build houses on it, every garden will be flooded when we've had a good rain.
