Fingers crossed Jazz :flowers:

I love my hairdresser - she had gone such a good job on my hair  Unfortunately I then had to go to the farm and then to the gym - they were tough classes tonight and my hair dye ran   Talk about embarrassing - especially as it was Mr G who was taking the class

Hopefully learning a foreign language will help many with their English as well as you learn yhe grammar and structure better in foreign languages. European countries teach their kids English and their mother tongues which puts us at a disadvantage for job opportunities.

Chinese languages are the next big work places, learning one other languages will help them, Australians often have the opportunity to learn these languages but we don't.

It is proven that the earlier you learn a second language the easier it is and also the easier it is to learn additional languages when you are older.

I am all for the learning of languages as it will help Brits integrate with their European counterparts when living or working. I have recently worked on a project that had multiple people from different countries, sadly they could converse with each other in different languages but all the Brits could only so English. Very sad and frustrating! xxx

Have you thought about trying Yoga Alex? Apparently that is quite good for de stressing :flowers:

Another day off today - I think I might get my suitcase down and make a start on packing it. I could get used to this not working lark - shame it doesn't pay as well as my proper job

Hope you're right Murtle..I know I'm an old fossil who went to a grammar school, but it frankly horrifies me when I look at my OH's Facebook page; many of his friends are his workmates, the majority of them uni graduates in their twenties. The basic mistakes in spelling would have earned me detention at the age of eleven! They don't know the difference between their and there, your and you're, tale and tail, etc. I could go on...and on...and on! It isn't a case of dashing things off in a hurry and getting it incorrect either, as my OH says their spelling at work is abysmal, they keep coming to him to check whether something is right and he didn't even go to uni.

Lovely sun here today, I've probably put the mockers on it as I've just put a load of towels in the wash. :D

I agree with Murtle - my knowledge of grammar is based almost entirely on the French we learnt in school - learning the rules in another language sort of makes you realise that there are rules in your native language as well.

Alex - I hope the work stress eases up soon.

I haven't had a puppy, but I've taken all my dogs to basic training classes (including 11 year old Sky who didn't need to learn anything). I've now done the beginners course at our training club with 5 dogs (did it with Morse too) - I've generally taught the dogs everything they'll learn before we start the classes, so they don't really need to go. I find it useful to have them used to concentrating on me when there are other dogs around. Depending on the dog I continue it on - Sophie did beginners, intermediate and then a few months at advanced as she was so nervous and needed the socialisation. Sky just did the beginners. Logan did the same as Sophie, then we switched over to agility which both of us prefer. Kia did just beginners and intermediate before switching to agility.

I'm very jealous Jayne - I need to start planning this year's holidays so I have something to look forward to. Probably no big trip this year, but a few weeks away around the UK. Would love to make it back out to Canada to see friends, but don't think it'll happen til next year.

You definitely need to have something to look forward to - I don't wish my life away, but I always like to have something to focus on, to keep me going through the tough times. After Cuba, I have my birthday in March, followed by Gary Barlow concert in April, horses going out in the field in May, possibly a cheeky week somewhere in June/early July, then Mexico in November, then Christmas :)

I am currently stalking my dpd driver - Matt - he is bringing a new rug for the dark destroyer (aka Blue the destruct-a-horse). Last time I checked, he was making delivery 38 and I am delivery 43 :)

Hope your rug soon arrives Gooster..when my daughter had a pony, she (the pony, not my daughter) was murder on rugs.

I'm off to the doctor in a little while, I've got a painful boob...just one area, no lump to feel. I'm sure it's nothing...I hope it's nothing...keep your fingers crossed for me that it's nothing, please!

Rug has arrived :) The driver didn't even get lost and have it ring for directions  I have dug out about another 2 rugs as well as his new one to leave at the farm whilst I am away - the last thing I want is for him to trash the 2 rugs that are there already and then him not be able to go out in the field (although it would serve the little sod right!) as I am not there to bring up any spare ones! I was quite cross that he has trashed his latest one - he had only had it for about 6 weeks

Keeping everything crossed that everything ok at the Gp :flowers:

Fingers crossed for the GP visit Suzeanna :flowers:

It's fun being able to track the DPD drivers isn't it Jayne! Oh I lead such an exciting life!

I hope Blue treats his new rug with a little more care than the older ones. Does he play up when you are away on holiday or is he quite alright about someone else looking after him? I like your outlook on life too by the way :flowers:
