Positive Thoughts For Milly Merle Please

Oh Alex I'm so sorry. :GroupHug: Is your vets giving you a sling for her? Remember Sheena had a whole leg amputated and I was given one by the specialists to put under her belly to help her move about in the early days. As they're not allowed to even try walking unaided incase they fall and do themselves a mischief. I have the sling that Melp sent to me. She told me to keep hold of it and send it to another needing help. I can't get it to you tonight but I imagine the lovely girl will be in vets possibly a few days anyway so can get it to you over the weekend? Just shout if you need any help at all.

Really hope they have all of the cells and she gets on ok with having HD as well poor girl. If your girl has half of determined spirit Sheena had she'll cope just fine. I'm here for you any time. Please remember that and if you have any questions re the leg in the early days send me a pm incase I miss them. It's a bit scary when you first get them home but you'll be amazed how quickly it all heals. :GroupHug:

I'm so so sorry the news wasn't better :mecry:

Milly is a merle dog and therefore made of pretty stern stuff. Everything crossed that she copes well with three legs.

Otherwise would there perhaps be some way we could do a little fugee appeal to try and raise what yourself and the insurance cant cover for a prosthetic limb? I know we'd contribute and I'm sure plenty of other fugees love you and Milly enough to contribute a little if it's decided that this would be in her best interests.

I am so sorry :GroupHug:

When I was in the vets the other day a dog came in that had just had a front leg off a few days earlier, this dog was really perky and waggy tailed happy. He had come to have his check-up for the stitches which is done 2 or 3 days after the operation.

I don't know yet. She will hopefully be able to come home tomorrow afternoon, so will let you know then. Thanks for your offer :flowers:

Tis a luffly thought, but to do that they would have had to leave half her leg on I think, and it's already been removed :flowers:

I am just waiting now for the biopsy results :(
