Thank you for all the good thoughts for Dolly Doodle

Malcolm the vet rang me yesterday to let me know that he'd not been able to get hold of both specialists to confirm our appointment for Tuesday. Hopefully I will get a call today as he's left messages for them and told them how urgent it is for Dolly to be seen. Over the last couple of days, Dolly has been very perky and lively, bouncing around but her breathing just can't cope. Yesterday at the Bowood show one of the vets from my practise was there, Nick (who is the eye specialist and had looked after Bumpy) and talking to him he said he'd talked to Malcolm and how worrying it is that the mass is so big :(

I hate waiting :(

Just had a call from Malcolm and I'm now rather

One of the specialists he wanted us to see on Tuesday in Winchester is not going to be there. The other imaging specialist is able to get to my vet's hospital this afternoon so I'm now taking Dolly in for 2pm. The current plan is to have another go at the endoscopy and ultra sound. Malcolm still wants to try and get a sample and has spoken to the company that supply the endoscopy things to try and source a special needle and then talked about laposcrapy (sp) and used other long words which has now just confused me completely. He also talked about trying to go in with a needle in between the ribs to see if that enabled them to get a sample.

I am just so thankful to have such great vets - Malcolm is meant to be on holiday for 2 weeks from today but has been in since this morning ringing round trying to get advice and option for Dolly

Jeez Wendy, what a nightmare to deal with, although I am very impressed with your vet's! :flowers: If I could find a house and a job I'd move over to your neck of the woods in a flash, just so that I'd have a Malcolm to treat my Malcolm!

I'm glad to hear that Dolly still feels well in herself though, that does make all the difference, doesn't it?

:GroupHug: to all of you and I'll be checking as often as I can to see if there are any updates.

Wishing Dolly all the best for later Wendy, your vets are so good and take such good care. Between the love you have for her and the care and expertise of your vets she couldnt be in better hands :GroupHug: :GroupHug:
