murtle Posted June 6, 2008 Report Share Posted June 6, 2008 Pretty much He said he wished it was Laryngeal Paralysis then it would relatively easy in comparison. The tumour is blocking Dolly's airways so she's struggling to breath but because of the size and position of the mass, he can't get the endoscopy tube far enough to get a good look which is why the MRI scan is needed. Malcolm did say that he knows the surgeon at the referral vets (Great Western Referrals) and as well as having an MRI machine big enough if appropriate, the vet there could operate Just waiting to go leave work so I can bring Doodle home oh poo, I was hoping it would be the better of the two options. does that mean that the other vet has a big endoscopy tube, or just that she'll be knocked out for the MRI scan so they can do it altogether? xxx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A similar thing happened to April my lovely lab/pointer a few years ago and it was a horrible shock to send her in for a LP op and then to find out there was another problem.
