September's Sibilant Susurration

Alex try a bottle of Lucozade - I used to find that sometimes it could stave off a migraine. I have suffered with them since I was 8 so know how you feel. I get 2 or 3 a week but if I can catch them in time sumatriptan brays them into submission. Also in case you don't know this, tho I suspect you will, try gently pinching each of your eyebrows all along their length and then press the area in between the eyebrows with your finger making little circling motions - you can do that all round that area.

Thank you Owl for the pub banning info - who knew an Owl could be so norty?

Aw Loo the poor horse :( Good on your ex at stumping up the £100 though.

Yay for the pain free hand Suzeanna may it long continue.

Steph keep your chin up matey, sending you a big hug. Hey it's been a while since I last tried to burn the kitchen down! I've gone at least 3 years. That's got to be a record!

Hugs to anyone else feeling the need for one.

Loo, sorry about the poor horse :GroupHug: i know this is no help now but you say horse was walked most of afternoon, my vets say only to walk them when the pain hits and just let them rest quietly inbetween times as most horses are exhausted and lots of walking exhausts them futher.

Sorry, collies, didn't mean he was walked - just that he was up and on his feet moving about his stable. Amy said she felt that first feeling of dread when her lesson finished (she teaches) and as she was going back to the stables she couldn't see him over the door and the drip lead was still. xx

I think my brain is absent without leave today. I stopped at a green traffic light on the way to work and then locked myself out of my computer because I forgot my password and I just can't concentrate!! Taking minutes at a finance meeting this afternoon - that'll be fun then!!

And while I am typing this the smoke alarm went off to tell me that my omelette is ready!!

Thanks all xx

I've just had an email to tell me I've won £10 in the daily draw of a specialist survey company who I do stuff for. OK it's not a huge amount but it's given me a lift all the same :)

Loo sorry to hear your brain's gone AWOL. Is there a Dog Lost equivalent for missing brains?

Marion I'm pleased to hear kitchens have been fire free from you  and great news on the win

Loo I hope you find your brain soon, maybe you could start a FB campaign to help find it

I have possibly lost my brain as I've just booked a weekend to Rome and sent out several applications for jobs on cruise ships. I think when I come out of this slump I'm gonna have no idea what's gone on

Alex, have you tried drinking lots of water? I read a bit by a doctor who has migraines and he said often that's all it takes to get rid of it.

Alex try a bottle of Lucozade - I used to find that sometimes it could stave off a migraine.

Will try both of those, thank you :flowers:

Sending you lots of positive thoughts, but please don't run away to sea :flowers:

Not enjoying the new job so far, which consists of mostly admin work by the look of it. And reporting to a young upstart who is 15 years younger than me and less qualified. And who looks at me like I'm an alien when I dare to venture an opinion. I was very tempted to point out that a) I'm older and wiser, b) I'm actually qualified to do the job, which he isn't and c) that at my last company (one of their competitors), we were at the stage they are at nearly ten years ago, so I know what they are trying to do and I know far better than he what is required and if they weren't so intent on giving me all the shite jobs, then I could actually be extremely useful to them and save them a lot of pain.

Hey ho, have to go into town to the offices tomorrow but my laptop isn't going to be ready apparently so they have asked if I would use my own laptop and work from home on Friday. Oh okay then

I really hope that something else comes along soon before they suck the life out of me.

OOh how frustrating!!! Just treat it as charity work - I'm sure they aren't paying you enough to use your knowledge! :)

Didn't go anywhere today as starter motor died on me. Green Flag man bump started it down the hill and escorted me to garage. Not going anywhere tomorrow either. No point in getting agitated so catching up on things at home. Wispa and I had a walk through the wood. Not as much fun as tracking but she has forgiven me.

I asked Becky to bring me some bread as it's the only thing I am short of, and she brought me some yummy cake as well as a thank you for finding ickle horse last night.

Leatherhead, after a patterdale who escaped into a river. She is a good swimmer but no one has a clue where she got out. A challenge to put it mildly. She ran off trailing 3 leather leads clipped on to each other. Likely to have got caught up but she is good at chomping through leads, and hopefully if someone spots a terrier with short chewed-off length of lead they will realise she is awol.

Will be thinking of you on Friday, Jazz.

Sorry job is orrible Alex but have everything crossed it's very short term and the clearance will be through very soon for V. Hope head is ok now.

Steph hope things get brighter for you very soon. You'll come out the other side stronger. You'll love your holiday. Have heard nothing but good things about Rome

Glad horse caught and safe Owl.

So sorry about Amy's Loo. Such a shock.

Jazz glad op is still on. Will be thinking of you.

Pleased you're free of pain Suzeanna. Makes the world of difference

I'm wearing me new specs and they're pinching my nose but otherwise ok.

Moaning :tired: Four hours' sleep :tired:

Max has what looks like an abcess on his gum so have to try and get him in to see the vet either this evening or tomorrow. Hope my new job is understanding! He will also need a dental so will book him in for that next week and they can also have a look at a couple of lumps and bumps.
