glad Emerald has been found

oooooooo i don't do ghosties  our dogs and cat sit staring at nothing and bark occasionally at random stuff but cats are drawn to this house something terrible, the old lady who died here used to have a cat so perhaps they come to see her

Glad scoobs sling has arrived and he is enjoying walks again, one of the people round here has just got wheels for their dog and her tail doesn't stop wagging

:GroupHug: for all who are poorly..... i got bad news today, went to the hospital to the ENT place and they tried to put me with the awful consultant so i had a strop and got put with someone else.... i was told my hearing has been damaged beyond repair and they will see me in 6 months  just like that! very dismissive and i don't see the point in going back in all honesty, it isn't like after 2 years i will miraculously recover my hearing... waste of my time and nhs resources.

That's dreadful Griff, you'd think they could have least have told you in a compassionate manner, but sadly compassion seems to be in very short supply in the medical profession these days. :GroupHug:

Great that Scoobs in enjoying life again, some pics of him in his new array?

No sign of Polly the terrier at Sunningdale :mecry:

No sign of Diesel or our missing trap :mecry:

but Moses, a newly rescued ex-racer who went on the run in the West Country has just been caught after 13 months, thanks to a team of determined people who never gave up

Excellent news about Moses - not so about the others. I do hope they are safe and will soon be found.

wow, great news about moses and i do hope the other 2 turn up soon :flowers:

yantan, look in the most ridiculous place possible and you will probably find your lead, thats what tends to happen with me

Suzeanna, i am actually quite surprised, except for the consultant all the people in ENT have been great with me, especially the usual chap i deal with, the one today stank of BO, he had zip up boots on and the zips were broken  and the other chap i have been seeing said i would probably be getting an MRI but this one has just sent me off :glare: i can't even ask to see the other fella as he is an associate specialist so it is not possible to get a referral (he works under several consultants so i can't deal directly with him)

Doesn't sound like you've seen a consultant Griff. Really sorry you've been treated so shoddily. You might want to insist on a 2nd opinion and the scan after all as the bloke sounds like he couldn't be bothered and just wanted rid of you. :GroupHug:

Update on the haunted Freecycle dressing table:

"Thank you all so much for the interest in this item, I can't get back to everyone so hope you all read this. The dresser has gone to a very worthy cause and if you look out for a 'most haunted' style night at a project in Norfolk Park sometime in the future you can help raise funds for the projects work, get to spend a night with the dresser and be thankful you didn't get chosen!! I'm just glad it has gone."

Oh dear

these consultants forget we are people. the one I saw that told me I had infection in the hip and went on to tell me I couldnt have the injection as it would spread the infection. when the rheumatologist saw him to find out why he didnt treat the infection, was told he said inflammation! yea right!

did you find the whippet wearing his pjs

this gorgeous bichon foster is now up for rehoming

Oh yes, the whippet wearing his PJs was picked up pretty quickly as he was so obvious that several people noticed him and rang the DW

Yantan, check all window sills. Jacobean, check side and inner pockets of travelling bags, shoulder bags and suitcases.

I really wonder about consultants, some of them have no people skills whatsoever.

A friend of mine has had a horrible time with her surgeon. She had an op last summer to repair work-related damage to her shoulder. She did everything she was told to do and worked hard to get rehabilitated, did swimming etc to get fit again, but it never mended and she ended up in more pain than she had before the op. On her last visit to the consultant she complained that the condition had worsened rather than improving and asked what could be done about it. Consultant got very cross, said she was making a fuss and discharged her.

She managed to get a second opinion. New consultant says she did not have the right op for her condition, the op she had would do nothing at all to improve it, and apparently it was done wrong anyway because the incisions are not in the right place for the op she is alleged to have had  We all hope he can repair the mess. She is booked in for scans to find out what on earth has been going on.
