Morning! I spent a happy 20 minutes raising and reinforcing the barrier I'd put up to stop the dogs getting up to the top bit of the garden (it gets very muddy) only to go indoors, let them out and watch Dylan trot up to it and boinnng over it as if it wasnt there!  Back to the drawing board!

Owl, I had to smile at your post on my Rosie's birthday thread.."she looks a strong character". What a diplomatic way of saying she looks a proper stroppy little moo!

Hi Lesley, hope you are well and not snowed under with rescue horses.

Charliegoo is doing ok, he's been a bit stressed today. He didn't like me taking the other dogs for a walk, even though he was in his crate with a stuffed kong. He is still quite hit and miss with putting weight on his leg. Not really sure whether he is at the right stage for his injury. Stitches out a week today, then he can start 5 minute lead walks.

Thanks for asking :flowers:

Glad you are enjoying your job flowers.gif

Hello Lesley :wavey:

Charliegoo wub.gif

Couldn't get online yesterday and had a hectic day at work (more bluddy stuff to come out of that audit that I did) rolleyes.gif Have been doing analysis on some spreadsheets since 5.30 cos I couldn't sleep because it was going round in my mind.

I've hurt my shoulder - don't know how.

I've got new wellies. They feel a bit big but the size down would be too small, so I'm gonna make do given that I've searched high and low for about a year for a pair of wellies that I actually like.

Alicia what are you like?

I woke up yesterday with some throbbing glands in my neck - they seem to be taking it in turns to complain if I move or stand up too sharply. Planned on taking it easy today, only to find it's bin day and nobody has put the rubbish/compost bin out (bearing in mind we were on holiday last week) the compost wheelie bin was moved into the back garden while we were away and got fully loaded, so I had to struggle to get it out the front. Had to ask OH for help - he was 'in the middle of something' so I told him they were on their way (I could hear them in the next street) then he wonders why I am in a strop! #2 son refused to take the bottle box out because he was only wearing his shorts (damn it, I go out there in my pj's if I have to!)

Then Missy decided she can get into the garage to get near the pet shop sized box of charcoal bonios which OH has helped her become addicted to, so I have to go and close garage door after handing bits of bonio out. Then Barney decides he needs a poo NOW, so he's ushered out into the garden and left there. After a couple of mins, he's sitting on the garden table, and behind him are some smeared bits of poo - he's walking in a very strange way and has a big lump protruding from his bum!!! This needs extracting, along with the clump of grass he's chewed some days ago. Inevitably it gets smeared, so his bum now needs washing........

Then the door bell goes, and it's my lovely neighbour telling me her 90 year old husband has passed away :(

By now I need a coffee - but I break my cafetiere :( Open my emails to discover the new coffee maker I ordered is due for delivery within the next 30 mins!!

It has no arrived, it's very shiny, and it is programmable - I can set it to make coffee ready when I come down in the morning.

What a day!!! And it's only 12.30!

So much for a rest.......

I suggest a rest of several hours to get over that lot! Sorry to hear about your neighbour.

Putting out the bins seems to have become my job. It was Mr Hazells job but for the past few weeks he's forgetten. Late on Sunday night I was peering across the road to see which coloured bins my neighbours had out because it's green one week, black the next. Well they all look black in the dark  I managed to get the right one out thankfully.

Mr Hazell has gone back to work today. Last week was annual leave anyway so he bunged his three days for bereavement on the end of that. It's too quiet and I miss him

Hello folks!

I'm finally ready to engage with life after loosing my special boy. I hope you will all forgive me for neglecting this place. I have missed you all but just couldn't be around such a doggy place, if you know what I mean.

Archie is doing fine and has kept me going. He's a little love wub.gif We both miss the big fella though. Oh hell here I go again mecry.gif

Right gather, gather. I need to try and somehow catch up so you might see me bumping threads up that have been laying dormant for a while rolleyes.gif

Welcome back Marion, you've been sorely missed :flowers: and have a :GroupHug: too.

How's Ruby getting on?

Am rather liking your new profile pic

RMF : Meeting is happening this afternoon which is a culmination of the last few weeks' work that I've been up to my neck in. Am sincerely hoping that the meeting goes well and that I can lay it to rest. If it doesn't then no doubt the powers on high will be looking for a scapegoat.

My shoulders are in knots and I quite fancy getting a massager thingy. Does anyone have any recommendations? :flowers:

Thank you Alex.

Arrrghhh Ruby - she's not at all well. I hardly recognise her these days from the old friend I had for nearly 30 years.

It is a nice photo of Archie isn't it biggrin.gif A friend took in August when she came over from the US to stay with me.

I was going to post a photo of a nice hunky masseur for you but I got a lot of homosexual porn photos when I tried Googling for one rolleyes.gif I have a couple of those wooden rolly things for my shoulders but to be honest I cannot stand the pressure of them. I've leant them to other people who have had stiff shoulders/neck and they've all said they helped. I've not tried any of the electrical massager's and I think that's what you are after isn't it?

Positive thoughts coming your way for the meeting Group_Hug_Emoticon.gif

How's the Merle gang?

Welcome back Marion :flowers:

Saw my Dr this morning for a bit of a check up as my BP has gone up a bit recently, he wasn't too bothered considering everything thats going on at the moment he said he expected it would be far higher  I was pleased to learn that my cholesterol is still really low  and my blood sugar is fine so nothing to worry about on that score, he said he wouldn't nag me about my smoking as he doesn't think now would be a good idea to try and quit ( I love my Dr   ) we talked about the menopause stuff but whilst he is a great believer in HRT he said it often takes a bit of mucking about to get the right one and right dosages etc and again at the moment he doesn't really want to "mess me about" since I'm dealing with the effects OK for now he isn't going to upset the status quo.

Mum had her PET scan Tuesday so we should know next week whether its 6 or 8 months of chemo and when she has to start.
