Car saga is just about over - we have agreed to buy the escort in return the garage is going to wax oil it sealed underneath to ensure it doesn't rust and they have offered to store our old one so we can canabilise it for parts as and when needed, it's got 11 months MOT & 6 months tax so it would be daft to pass it up.

Yeah but the hummer with full body lights and cocktail bar would have been so much more fun.

Nice pics Ms Merle. Dawn here was less interesting today.

Snow, that sounds like a very good deal. Is it an Escort Flight estate you are having, like mine? I like mine a lot but you have to keep an eye on the water pump as they don't last forever.

It was a bit exciting on our mountain walk this morning. A few of us (4 humans and 7 dogs) had arrived and started to plod/sprint/boing/wrestle our way along a muddy path when suddenly a police car raced towards us. We thought it would park next to our cars but it didn't, it raced across the grass and shot up a very steep limestone pavement on the mountainside which we only walk up when we are feeling extra fit. I should have thought to take a pic but I only thought of recalling Wispa before she saw it and gave chase. Luckily we had a new dog on the walk and she only had eyes for him, the tart. We headed the other way so had no idea what happened, but imagine it was loonies in 4wds driving up and down the mountain and churning up the paths. I hope they were caught as we are fed up of them. They treat the mountain like a race track and have a whizz round endangering anyone on foot as well as their own silly necks and then whizz off back to the main road before the police arrive. This means they hurtle back along a narrow single track and risk a head-on with anyone coming up to the parking place.

There was a cop the other day sitting in an unmarked car, so it looks like they really want to stop them.

I did tell you about passing over 1/2 ounce packets of Geranium up the mountain. You are being watched by Dyfed Powys finest you know.

Just try denying you passed over Geranium today !!!!! How much does 10 eggs get me ?

I don't deny it, I posted earlier on RMF  and thanks for the eggs.

Went on the mountain again this eve and Wispa discovered the joys of blackberrying. There were 5 of her basset pals chomping them off the brambles and she couldn't understand why. We picked her some to try but she spat them out. Then she had a think and decided that 5 dogs stuffing their faces couldn't all be wrong so she picked the berries up again and chewed them cautiously. Then the taste suddenly hit her, wow DELICIOUS, and she dived in and started picking for herself. She ate rather a lot, hope we aren't going to be rushing into the garden at 3 a.m.

Some scumbag nipped into a house in Brum through patio doors and nicked a puli today while owner was upstairs. Waiting for more details to circulate. It must be an exceptionally easy-going and quiet member of the breed. A burglar has been known to flee the scene of crime naked from the waist down after being debagged by a furious puli. And yes, he was promptly arrested for indecent exposure.

Morning.

Tis the morning of the Wiccaweys Show, and we need to be up, doing and getting ready to be off - but I appear to be the only person in the house who is awake.

Tigger has been for his ablutions and says it's snooze time. Daisy hasn't deigned to come downstairs yet, and Mr B is probably waiting for the coffee I'm about to take.

See you later.

Funny how it gets brought home to you how often we do things without really really paying attention ... hubby was getting ready for church this morning, I am already ready so am in here reading an email, hubby says "I'm ready how do I look?" I turn round take a swift half look and see shirt & tie and start to say "you look fin.... when my eyes registered the rest of him .... shirt, tie, ...... no trousers .... black socks .... bright red crocs    apparently he's leaving his trousers & shoes off until just before we go so that he doesn't get Nog hair all over them

..........so, how many fugee's go to church ? never for me, I don't even believe in any deity .

Having had the life frightened out of me by the Presbyterian God of my childhood (via church, Sunday School, school, mother), I no longer go either. I am always astonished when people say they find religion comforting; the thought of an after-life, with all that judgement - and separation from "non-believers" - horrifies me.

Only if I have to - weddings, funerals, christenings etc and precious few of those! I'm a non believer too.

:withstupid: Same here - Daddy Bear is a big Richard Dawkins fan. I think Astronomy/physics put the cap on it for him, even tho his Dad was a Minister. (DB not RD)

Can't get my head round religion - too much blind faith and not enough questions.

Having said that..........sometimes I can see the advantages of having something to believe in.

Morning. Sun is just starting to show itself.

Am tootling out to the garden for more tidying up shortly.

Heavy discussion going on on a Sunday here. Not sure where I stand on religion. I'm pretty open minded to all sorts of things. To me there is an after life and have had spirits round me moving stuff (when I lived on my own so no chance of it being anyone else). I do find that comforting. I didn't used to believe in much but strange things do happen so for me as I get older I do wonder more and more. Churches give me creeps badly so I avoid them as much as possible.

morning. Not been around as Dad was rushed into hospital on friday with acute kidney failure and Ive been dashing about like a woman possessed ever sinse. Having established his cancer has returned, he was being treated at one hospital for that, then whisked off to another hospital for his kidneys. No idea whether Im coming or going right now.

Worse still, I am booked to go to egypt tomorrow, and every visiting time is a battle as he is adamant I must go and Im adamant I should stay. Think I might need a large implement to help prize my head from out of my @rse right now :mecry:
