merledogs
Morning It's Saturday and the sun is coming out and another plus, I did my food shopping Thursday so don't have to traipse around Asda/Sainsburys. I could do with going to B&Q but it's non urgent so if I don't feel like it, I won't go. Sleep tight Elsa RMF: My laptop has just downloaded an update to my display settings and it keeps making my display go wonky

I used the new lawn shears when I got back just to trim around the bits of lawn I never usually get to (I know I could use a strimmer, but they're a pain in the tits in my experience). I can't believe how weak my hands feel afterwards, I literally couldn't pick up anything afterwards without my hands shaking violently Even now, more than an hour later, my wrists feel really week. celeste
I have been to the Scone Game Fair today, lots and lots of rather stressed and worried looking dogs, and a few very young puppies who shouldn't have been there at all, poor things looked ready to drop from exhaustion . I had to wait on Eddie who was perusing the tool stall, opposite was ( of all things) a taxidermy stand , complete with a Lion , but it was very interesting watching dogs reactions to it, one brave Cocker started woofing his head off with a bark that could have belonged to a Mastiff, another poor soul was scared stiff, but his stupid owner insisted on dragging him up to the Lion, he lay flat to the ground as if his belly was super glued to the grass, I was very tempted to ask her just what she thought she was achieving . On the plus side though, I got a noo jacket and four cheese scones
Laura_E
I put my foot in it BIG time today. I took Emily, a young girl with down syndrome that I look after at the weekends, to a Pets as Therapy event. There were lots of other children and young people present who also had special needs and they were having a great time interacting with the dogs. Whilst we were supervising them a lady came over asked me how old Emily was and what specialist school she attended. I answered her and then asked, 'what specialist school does your son go to?' At this stage she looked at me with a blank expression and said 'that's not my son, that's my partner' I was mortified!! Sophie
Hello!  Haven't been around much, hope everyone is doing ok. We have moved house  I am loving our new house - we have soooooo much space.  Dogs love the garden, there is a huge field at the end of the road for the dogs to play on, and today we discovered it is less than 5 minutes walk to Swinley forest which is great for dog walking  Had a lovely walk this afternoon.  We get our internet installed on Thursday, if all goes to plan.  for Gus - hope he's better soon. chickentikka
Happy noo house Sophie I am covered in Diatom powder and vaseline. The little newbie chooks have been dusted down (yet again cos they were very manky) combs vaselined and let out in the garden for an hour with the big girls. Seems to be going OK but I bet that Angel, Melody and Posy will want to go to bed in the big house - unless it gets really nasty I'm leaving them to sort it out.
