merledogs
Had a lovely long walk with the mutts, followed by a luffly lunch of organic pork chops, mash, peas and gravy. Have done the washing up and am now going to relax for a bit before I start on the housework
ranirottie
I like Useful Pete's horse but I don't need him as I have a very useful Chris. I am lucky that my hubby can turn his hand to anything and does a good job..................after a bit of man moaning of course. I have just been to M&S with hubby to buy slippers,as both ours have seen better days. We both wanted moccassin types and Chris found his straight away. They didn't have any womens ones so I had to make do with some pink girly things. When we eventually got home, M&S was rammed to the rafters, Chris's ones fitted perfectly and mine were too small..............but I really can't be bothered to go back. Does anyone want a pair of pink slippers, size 5? x
merledogs
Max was much livelier than he's been for ages on our walk today, he was running around barking his head off
owl
Nice horse Lesley An exceptionally nice horse as it happens, a real sweetie who is now out on loan to a young girl. Take some pics of the owlery next time, chook. It's a bit chaotic inside with stuff still in boxes, and from the outside it looks very nondescript. It just has a nice vibe and an interesting layout which is less boxy than some ex-council houses, and it has a lot of light with great views from upstairs. It was only up for renting for a short while, I've since discovered. Before that it was empty while the owners were trying to sell it, but no takers at the price they are asking. They lived in it themselves for over 20 years and bought it from the council. Their daughter and her partner had it for a while but wanted to buy their own place. Owners are now in France permanently and decided to rent it out to cover its mortgage rather than struggle to sell it and maybe take a loss. I've found this out because I met their daughter who came to help after the fire next door. WTG Max Edited December 14, 2008 by owl
JulesB
Max was much livelier than he's been for ages on our walk today, he was running around barking his head off Great news RMF: I need to write my Christmas cards but I just can't bring myself to do it. If anyone sees my get up and go could they remind me where I put it please. Shocking news about Riley's little girl, she must be so worried for her
owl
For anyone who wants to see the owlery, it's still officially on sale with John Francis with pics on site. Now that is something I wasn't told when I moved in, but there you go. I don't think I'm in any danger while the housing market is so low, and if I get at least 3 years here I will be well pleased. At least from what I can find out, they are as happy to let as to sell and they particularly wanted a long term tenant. http://www.homesonview.co.uk/Scripts/ShowP...02774&pic=1 The former coalhouse is the dining room with the 3 little windows. The floor isn't wood, it's stick-on vinyl stuff, and the wallpaper is falling off the walls there. Must congratulate the photographer who certainly showed the best bits and took a low angled shot to make the garden look bigger Tis jolly nice even so and the shower room is a dream except for being unheated. Jacobean
It is worrying. Poor little thing. Really pleased to hear Max doing so well. Just hope the specialists can fit him in quickly now. I'm doing hand washing. Martyn has gone out for the dogs food. Scooby is most put out. The others are snoozing. Bracken has been directing us all on what we should be doing today. I hope we haven't been too naughty for him. It's very soggy out there so think I'll get covered in mud again later. ranirottie
the Owlery looks a lovely place to live, love the pine kitchen. So glad that Max is feeling perkier, well done Max,keep it up. My dogs haven't been out for a walk today, instead i have been chucking a ball around the garden.Even little Pixi had a mad half hour and darted round and round and really enjoyed herself. It is just foul weather here and the fields are inches deep in mud. I hope it stops raining tomorrow.x
phoebejo
I bought some soft leather gloves for when I walk the dogs this morning. I then forgot to take them with me to the woods I'll have to pretend I'm 5 and thread them through the arms of my coat on a piece of elastic
