Fingers crossed for something easy to sort :flowers:

Went up to the farm today with the idea of riding. Seems everyone else had too as the school was booked till 6.30  Didn't have time to wait till then, so just had to give him a good groom. Good job I did though as I think he has a small girth gall  I put some of my net tex stuff on to see if that helps, as it has worked wonders with his tail :)

Lots of snorting etc. sounds like a 'wind' thing hopefully they can scope him and sort him out....

Yes I though the same about tumours and bloods, I know my dad he has regular blood tests to check his condition.

No noise when cantering, just lots of nose noise if that makes sense

I think they might well find something from the scope, with the way he is breathing I would think there should be something but who knows what suprises he has in store

Its not good news :mecry:

I'm not sure I understand everything 100% but at the moment as I understand it, the scope was clear so they scanned him and found that his liver, diaphram and intestine are all shunted up his body. There are two possible reasons for this one is that he has a type of Pneumonia and this has effected the space the lungs take up hence everything coming forward. The other option is that he has a diaphramic hernia but is very very rare and in the cases my vets know of its always come to light as a result of recurrent colic which we haven't had.

Either option he doesn't really fit 100%, surely I would know if he'd had Pneumonia

He has been given a large steriod injection and I have tablets for him (120 a day!) if we see improvement on these then its likely a lung problem with poor prognosis. Unfortuantly the only way they can confirm the hernia diagnosis is on the operating table so that has to be when everything else has been ruled out. The vets have gone away to consult their specialist contacts to see if they can get some advise as to where to go next.

Not the update I was hoping to write :sad02:

Thank you all for your kind words, I will pass them onto Loki and tell him to get to work on a miracle recovery :flowers:

It's really hit me today and feeling :mecry: I don't even know if I should be hoping the steriods help or not
