Morning All
Went to visit James again last night. He should be discharged today or Monday as he can slide off the bed into a wheelchair & manage the loo. Apart from shuffle to loo, no other standing or walking allowed yet.

WagTails House is doing nicely now - 20 full weeks booked, plus a long weekend over Easter & a pending enquiry for 2 peak August weeks. I have stopped worrying about selling now & transferred my angst to worrying about it being treated kindly!

albert is at the vets for tests today. hes not impressed that hes not been fed.

the rescue still havent paid the first bill, so wont pay last weeks or todays, so that will be over £200 for me to pay. as they wont pay decembers. the vets are saying its my bill, so another £80 soon

oh joy....

I do hope this is a fantastic month. good and bad anniversaries, but hope the good ones will outshine them,

love to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jazz - can you get hold of an adoption form and fill it out for Albert then send it recorded delivery to the rescue along with a letter stating that the money you have paid out for vet fees is to be considered his adoption fee (and state the dates for each item along with the fact that the vet considers you liable and it would be your financial reputation at stake if the bills had not been paid). From what you say it is bound to be more than they normally ask PLUS mention as he is undergoing tests there is likely to be lifetime medication which you are prepared to pay once he is yours officially. Keep a copy. I did wonder about saying give them 7 days to bring you the money in cash but then they could well turn up with it so best to leave that part out.

It's Friday therefore bin day. The lorry has not been but I have taken the bags out so the dogs are on alert ---- not for the collection but because they know Jan will be round soon after it comes.

Good luck Sam, I'll be thinking about you.

I sat up until 1.30am as I was frightened to go to bed in case I had more nasty dreams. I left my hair tied back which was a bit uncomfortable when I laid on my back, the most comfortable position for my aches and pains but despite all I slept really well - the best in a long time. Hurrah!

Whizzie that's a great forward booking calender you've got :) I found the wear and tear on my holiday cottage was the most noticeable in the kitchen. The worst that happened otherwise was that a couple of glasses and a couple of ornaments got smashed. I did find a lot of the cutlery went missing however! I think folk took it out on pic-nics with them and then lost it. I ended up buying 3 sets of medium priced cutlery all matching so I could replace it easily. I hate mis-matched things and think it gives a poor impression.

It's March already! Where did January and February go.

Good grief...hello March.

Jazz if you can't find an adoption form it might be something CaB will be able to word a letter or suggest a lawyer or could for you.

Good luck Sam!!

A shortage of small properties is causing concern here

from the local paper

About 3000 tenants, including those in housing association homes, will be hit by benefit cuts totalling £2 million because of the controversial rule change in April.l Senior councillors held long-awaited talks with Liberal Democrat MPs John Thurso, Charles Kennedy and Danny Alexander, on Friday to debate the UK government’s heavily criticised benefits shake-up.

Jazz, hope Alberts bill isn't too costly and it is nothing too serious

Yantan, glad you slept a little better

Sam, hope you have some super duper pain relief (i didn't suffer at all when i had my wisdom teeth out.... well a bit of drooling Lol)

Whizzie, glad you have plenty of bookings

Buddyboy, glad the dogs have settled down

Murtle, hope you are cracking on with your work

my mum has just called, she has had a pain in her back for a couple of days and her breathing has got worse, after a bit of me whinging at her she has seen a dr who has sent her straight off to the emergency assessment place at the hospital as the Dr says she has decreased breath sounds on one side and he suspects she has a pulmonary embolism... she the started telling me how she would come home if they wanted her to stay in..... i have gone nuts at her and told her she will stay put because if the blood clot breaks of and moves it will go to her heart and she will be dead, i am hoping she has pluerisy or something like that

So far so good with the teef

Was back home in bed within 30 minutes !

My dentist practice was sold recently to a larger group and the new staff are even better than old staff ( who were good ) this morning I was seen by a specialist who and I swear this is true he got both teeth out in under a minute and I never felt a damn thing

Currently I am still pain free but I think the drugs have not worn off yet ( I am not complaining mind )

Bit of drooling.........
