Steph I've never been able to change a pooey nappy without vomming :sick01:

Tis the way of life here

I need to either bribe the payroll manager to extend my holiday or just phone in sick next weekend. I prefer the sick option but then I don't get paid. I'm told he is partial to doughnuts but he's also a bit on the sloooow side so I can't decide if I actually bribe him or just tell him I did? Oh and I need the following Sat off for a craft fair . . . I'm gonna buy some doughnuts.

I also have an appointment with OT today to hopefully resolve the issues they have about my Mother coming home. Just hope they keep social services out of it

Hoping something can be done for Ian :GroupHug:

We got to the hozzy by some miracle. They got the right address this time but turned up at 8, not 10 as arranged, and my mum wouldn't go without me. I was there at 9.30 just in time to catch them having another try! So off we went, all went well except some of the staff were very concerned about her living alone as she seemed so confuzzled. I explained that she is much clearer headed when she is at home and gets muddled in strange places. Hope they believed me. I'm just back home for a while feeding Wispa etc then going back to check on her.

That's a tough one for Ian and his friends and family, sending good strong thoughts.

Makes my silly rant seem very insignificant - but I am going to swing for Big Dave........

We have a 'utility room'and downstairs loo (converted coal hole). There are two switched lights - but I never use the one in the loo as it's lost it's protective cover, so the damp from the tumble drier gets in and shorts it out with a big flash and a bang! He was 'helping' me with decanting the dog food, and decides, despite my warnings, to turn this light on as well. You just know what happened don't you? Yes, the light went flash! Bang! I ended up nearly in tears and apparently it's all my fault because I don't know where the cover is and he doesn't have 'time' to fix it.......

Everything crossed CRB and sending you lots of hugs too.

Owl, glad you finally got the transport.

K9Fran, hugs, be gentle on yourself. Everytime OH goes away I manage to blow the lights here. One bulb will always go, but luckily he put them on a switch fuse so I can click it back on, the rest are all the old fashioned fuse wire! I don't know what I do..but it always gives me a hell of a fright.

Steph hope the craft fair goes really well.

Sorry if I've missed anyone out, am on my blackberry and it's not easy :(

Thank you :flowers:

CRB, continued good thoughts for your friend, I very much hope there is a positive outcome for him :GroupHug:

I have been rudely awoken by . . . a cough  I do not think Chinese food can cause a cough and there's positively no way am I unwell again! Ive tried the usual warm water with honey, gargling, but it's too late to go back to bed now!!! if I had a stick I'd shake it at it, so the cough knew just how naffed off I am :glare:

:mecry: tis not good news with Ian. Apparently the latest scans have revealed shattered lower spine. A uk specialist is looking at them to decide what surgery can be done so Ian may be off to uk soon. I dont know anything else as this has obviously taken centre stage and devastated everyone :mecry:

Good thoughts for your friend Ian and his family :GroupHug:

Good thoughts for Mummy Owl too. My Dad is getting increasingly muddled but he is always right as ever! I had the most bizarre conversation with him yesterday. It's all a bit worrying as he is my mum's carer.

evening all :wavey:

:wavey: Hello Sam. Are you in the UK at the moment?

Sorry it's such bad news about Ian, poor man and his wife must be devastated. :GroupHug:

Glad you got your mum's hospital visit sorted eventually Owl...Kittycat, you can't have a cough its not allowed, tell it to shove off!

I just saw a van, very nicely signwritten for "all pet food, excellent prices, also veternary products." Oh dear. Veternary on both sides and the back! Do I tell him?

Got most of my painting done and it's covered very nicely, which is the good news. The bad news is it's crocked my arthritic wrist and not improved my shoulder  so now when I'm typing or just scrolling, my fingers are all going tingly and peculiar. Oh to be young and healthy again, you take it for granted until you lose it! I've decided my OH can finish it off tomorrow..assuming the smell of paint doesn't finish him off, as he's asthmatic
