merledogs
I'd like to have a go at growing food - the only problem is I don't like most veggies and rarely eat the ones I do like, so it would be pretty pointless I might try strawberries and tomatoes next year cos I do like those. safneo
Alex, what about fruit? Raspberry canes, rhubarb? Also peppers, onions? What do you eat? Salad and spuds are easy to grow. Edited July 16, 2011 by safneo
merledogs
Alex, what about fruit? Raspberry canes, rhubarb? Also peppers, onions? What do you eat? Salad and spuds are easy to grow. I could do Raspberries, haven't had rhubarb for years so can't remember if I like it. Peppers I don't like, onions I don't really eat (raw onions make me heave), salad I buy and then end up throwing most of it out, same with spuds. I don't even eat the apples from my apple tree I tend to eat lots of fruit and drink lots of fruit juice/smoothies to get my five a day.
safneo
Thats the good thing about growing your own (and part reason why I started) you stagger what you grow and then pick what you need to use.
