Thank you :flowers:

Right, here are today' efforts....

Two brassica beds constructed out of freebie wood and some plastic that was being thrown out at Keith's factory. Netting is on order and will be put on at planting time. We're trying them like this for this year, may use a different method next year. Dug them over and added a bit of compost and put weed membrane on top. I am going to plant through the membrane in an effort to cut down on weeds, but time will tell!

Put another water butt up there on a pallett, weeded abit and watered a bit.

Saw TWO potatoes peeping through, so must get them earthed up in case of frost.

Here's some pics.

Update time again

Plenty to do at this time of year, potatoes to earth up, preparing the ground and planting. Here's the progress so far.

netted up the brassica beds and made the hoop frame for the caulis.

Used the last of the grey boxes to make a bed for the minipop sweetcorn, currently growing nicely at home.

I dug this bed with the Chillington Hoe and then raked over, ready for planting. It's 24ft x 9ft and it was a lot quicker than using a conventional spade. Dug in some compost.

and finally, the view from the shed today.

all those beds and hoops were freebies, just paid for the netting. Getting good at asking for stuff from skips!
