Wendbert
Today was manic but all went well, which is the main thing. We have a new saying at work: "a goldfish is for life, not just for your wedding reception" after a daft bride-to-be didn't like being told she couldn't have goldfish bowls with fish as her table centerpieces

owl
I had my phone with me the whole time we were away, hoping to hear good news about Smudge, but am gutted he's still missing  I think my parents are giving up hope :mecry:I sooo wish he'd show himself so that we know if he's ok. I'm afraid they seem to be, so I really wish we could get a sighting. Wispa and I haven't given up though, and I now have access to a night vision scope if I need it Don't know if I can get back this weekend as my head cold has got really bad now but should be able to go back during next week. Thanks everyone for your kind words for owlbloke and myself. He had another chat with ACAS and feels fairly positive, and was back to his usual laid-back self today. I'm afraid I have less faith in justice getting done here, even though employment regulations have been thrown out the window and there was no fair hearing. It's certain to go to tribunal, and what will happen there is anyone's guess. He is such a kind, cheerful and friendly person that I can't see why the other driver saw fit to victimise him, except to cover his own back. Maybe that is part of the problem. Andrew became very popular with both daytime passengers and school run kids very quickly, and it may not have gone down too well in some quarters. @ Sasha
Yantan
for Alex and Milly. I hope MillyMerle defies all expectations. Owl I hope Owlbloke gets some justice. I hate that sort of behaviour by employers
sparkle
Ah ... well no one in my office dares to complain ... and the whole night is free so they really have nothing to complain about as all they have to do is turn up (else I will kick their bums!!) Hope yours is fun though Amy Owl and Owlbloke hope the work bullies get sorted RMF: I loves my little doglet
snow
I am awfully proud of Nick & Vicky, they are really working hard making their house a home and doing all the little jobs that need doing to make it a perfect little starting out nest, I've been completely blown away on how Nick has settled into being a home owner, a partner to Vicky and doing all the grown up jobs that come with running a household and dealing with tradesmen etc etc. this past 2 weeks he's been interviewing landscapers for their garden project and seeking advice from me and his nana on what the workmen have been telling him so he can make the right choice and avoid being ripped off. This is the same lad that barely 6 months ago was spending hours and hours on his xbox and getting me to sort out his bank, car tax, insurance etc. Last week they decided to take my advice and start taking Bruno to training classes, that little dog is extremely bright, very food orientated, and ever so willing to please, his issues were very much down to a lack of doggy socialisation and general bolshie small dog stuff, Nick & Vicky have worked hard on their own with him and he took to clicker training like a duck to water so it hasn't surprised me that after just 2 sessions the trainers have said he can start agility so he'll be doing agility on Wednesdays and obedience on Thursdays Nick & Vicky have been gobsmacked at how just a few small changes in the way they handle him have made a dramatic difference to HIS behaviour so much so that he is now able to go off lead on walks and recalls every single time and no longer turns into a foul mouthed, foaming, screaming, whirling dervish at the sight of another dog 3 miles away when they are out walking him I'm really really proud of both of them

merledogs
Morning Today was manic but all went well, which is the main thing. We have a new saying at work: "a goldfish is for life, not just for your wedding reception" after a daft bride-to-be didn't like being told she couldn't have goldfish bowls with fish as her table centerpieces It was on a programme on BBC3 the other night where they had fish as centrepieces - maybe that's where she saw it. Stupid bint Thank feck it's Friday RMF : I nearly had heart failure last night. Ever since Max's illness last year I am obsessive about checking his gums for colour. When I checked them last night they were really pale and my heart just sank. I think it was just the cold though and a trick of the light cos they soon went pink again when mummy gave him lots of cuddles under the blanket. But for a while there I feared the worst
