victoriag Posted December 22, 2008 Report Share Posted December 22, 2008 Hello everyone Thank you SO much for all your good wishes for Sadie (and a special thank you to Mel for helping me with IT so I can post here!). I can't believe that she is so ill - she's so bright eyed and waggy tailed and when we came back from the vets today we went on our favourite walk in the woods and she jumped over a log!! A month ago she was so rickety on her back legs so I'm trying to think that she did that to show that she's going to fight. She's been a very picky eater for the past 2 weeks and has had a bad tummy for a week so the signs were there in retrospect. She has had her favourite tea tonight - chicken, rice and lots of ham (I know ham isn't great but I use it to get down her anti-inflammotries and it's her favourite thing ever, so just this once....) and we've watched t v in front of the fire and wrapped Christmas presents. I so so hope that she will still be here on Christmas Day. Word has got round the village that she's not very well and she's had lots of visitors -which she loves. Her favourite place is in my office at home - she leads the way and always has to enter first and go straight to her bed. She then snores and sighs the morning away and loves it when a client comes as that means attention! Anyway, we're going to go to bed once she's had a chance to go to the loo again - her tummy is still really bad and it's horrible to see her straining, and then we'll get up early and go for a walk before we go to the vets. I'll take photos of her playing in the woods and hopefully when I report back, I can still say that she's looking forward to playing again. You've got my email address and hopefully you'll still have my phone numbers.
