UPDATE - the vet called me an hour ago and she was really stable throughout the operation and has had her spleen taken out. As expected, there are small spots of the tumour and these are on her liver. The vet and I took the decision that as she is so well in every other way is to take out the spleen and give her a great quality of life until the cancer takes hold, which could be a month, a year who knows. I took her for a walk this morning in the woods and she was very lively so she's not ready to go yet.

Hopefully she'll come home tonight. I'll keep you all updated and thank you so much for your support.

UPDATE - Sadie is home and is tucked up with a hot bottle! She had a small feed at the vet and she has had a totter around the kitchen so we're both happy. A vet nurse of 30 years friend of mine has just dropped in and thinks that she looks fantastic considering everything that she has gone through. Thank you to everyone for your very kind thoughts. Who knows how long Sadie will be with us but the important thing is that she can enjoy her life for as long as her the spots on her liver will let her xxx I've sent lots of photos to the lovely Melissa from the Oldies Club that I took last night and today so hopefully they'll be up for everyone to see.
