Melp
I'm stood here like one of Lewis's - meaning have been forgotten But who was/is Lewis? "It's black owwer Bills Movvers" is one I've always said but never knew until tonight who Bill was. It means there are dark clouds on the horizon so will probably rain later. "it/they mek yer tabs laff" refers to anything fizzy/sour, like gooseberries, sherbert etc. Makes your ears tingle. "It fair claps rahnd yer tabs duntit" it's cold/windy
boosboss
I often say "You won't catch me barking at the postman" which is a variation on 'You don't get a dog and bark yourself' when someone does something without using something to make it easier, like taking the stairs instead of a lift etc
