  1. Gyp has benefited so much from Maddie's youth. She's lost weight and her fitness level has soared! She's 10 going on 2 now! :-)
  2. We've a new addition to the madhouse! Maddie's been with us about two months now and has taken over! Gyp adores her and she does Gyp! She's a Pug x JRT and completely bonkers! Hopefully I'll get some pics on here soon.
  3. Hi All, It is with a heavy heart and through tear filled eyes, that I'm letting you know that we let Boo go today. Whilst he tore into a toy and wagging his tail, he was sedated and when completely relaxed, put to sleep peacefully. Thankyou for all your kind words and support over the last few weeks. We will miss Boo terribly! (Please don't say anything on Facebook, as I won't be letting my family know until tomorrow!)
  4. Thanks for all the great thoughts. Unfortunately the news isn't good. Boo has advanced prostate cancer which has spread. The oncologist has suggested a drug treatment, but still doesn't hold out much hope of it working in any significant way. I'm going to be speaking to the vet tomorrow, but I think I'll be making the decision to let Boo go sooner rather than later. I fear he will soon start to suffer and have promised him I won't let that happen. He may be a small dog, but he's a huge part of my life. Please continue to keep Boo in your thoughts and hearts at this time. Joe x
  5. Haven't posted for a while, but I need your positive thoughts for Boo right now! Boo has a large mass in his abdomen. We're seeing a specialist oncologist tomorrow to see if anything can be done. Please keep him in your thoughts at this time. Thankyou
  6. Thanks for the reply. I'm using a Zoom Groom, which tidys her up nicely. So I'll just keep at it.
  7. 'Easy' one of my 12 year old cats has started to get a 'natty' coat. It's kind of like an old sheep skin rug. It's been suggested that she may have just stopped cleaning herself However after a good brush (which is rare, as she's quite timid and any grooming is done on her terms), she does keep herself nice for a few days. Is this something I should be particularly worried about, or is there something that I could give her to encourage her to groom herself?
  8. It's going to be a beautiful day in South East London! Come along and enjoy it with us!
