Phoenyx
Jessie was found collapsed, emaciated and close to death at Christmas 2005. Northumberland Greyhound Rescue found her and gave her a second chance and she suprised everyone with her determination to live and enjoy life again. Jessie wasn't one of our dogs but we looked after her for Dave when he was away and she fitted straight in with the rest of the Phoenyx hounds every time she visited. We thought of her as part of our 'family' and we loved the wobbly, piddly old girl. She was our lodger on several occaisions, and she stayed with us again up to last Saturday. Jessie's back legs finally gave up on her yesterday and Dave had no choice but to let her go with dignity. Jessie was a gentle, loving, quiet and happy old girl. She loved to be outside, she loved pigs ears (even though it took her over an hour to eat one!) and she loved being around the other dogs and have cuddles. She'll be greatly missed. Sleep safe old friend, I hope you meet up with our Lady, you were good friends
