November's Noble Nattering

I have just watched Harry Potter too, whilst doing my ironing and then doing some Christmas Shopping on my Mac. I window shopped some very expensive handbags with 20% off, but couldn't bring myself to spend £800 on a handbag  even if it was very nice.

Am sure my leg will be ok - it'll just be bruising. Trying to get the motivation up to go to the farm. It's cold and dark and I'm curled up on the sofa with Walter and Jessie. Might treat myself to a curry tonight - I have been invited to a wedding evening do, but I'm just not in a wedding mood

Auntie is now safely tucked up in a pleasant room in the North London Hospice. The nurse they sent to look after her at home last night was excellent at making her comfortable. It may sound strange to say that I am very happy she is in a hospice, but we are all aware that she will not be with us for much longer and we were distressed by her insistence on staying in her own home. I would have gladly looked after her here, I have the space and facilities, but she absolutely refused and when she got the pressure sore which went necrotic it was too late for anything but specialised nursing care.

I am going to watch Atlantis/read my library book about aquarium fish/veg out with veg soup.

Nice to have kitties to curl up with, gooster. Wispa is a non-snuggler who likes her own space, and the fish are all asleep with lights off.

22 days to solstice and days getting longer :)

Also saw a very nice photo of the Queen taken in 1954 during a visit to Sri Lanka and had a Tescos mince pie which they had imported for the event

Spent a fab day visiting my grandson in Swindon and watching Wales beat South Africa yayyyyyyyyyy poor not so little Owen has a nasty cold but was cheered up watching the big black dog pottering around his lounge lol have to say I am so proud of Baddie he completely ignores Owen and Bruno, considering he is an exracer and Bruno is a very small dog who dashes about chasing balls running over and under Baddie he pays absolutely no attention to him whatsoever ... mind you it would be a very different story if Bruno was running about with anything edible in his mouth as Baddie is a walking dusbin that lives to eat and eat and eat never known a pointy dog so food fixated lol

Preop went very well yesterday I was chuffed to bits with my blood pressure reading it hasn't been that low in years even with my blood pressure medication, the only difference though is that I no longer smoke so thats even more proof that my vaping is sooooo much better for me than the fags! Slight hiccup on the cards though, turns out I may be offered the op much sooner than I thought & here was me telling work I'd probably be off for about 2 weeks max. The first week is just while I'm still on all the eye drops etc. and the 2nd will be while I sort out getting glasses that will allow me to read and use a pc as I've opted to have the lens set for distance to match the other one so I wont have any near sight or intermediate sight without glasses and I wont be able to have new prescription ones for a month or so until my vision settles so I'll need to try and get some off the shelf ones that'll work in the meantime, however, the preop nurse told me I am not allowed to wear my contact lens for 2 weeks before the op errrmmm no contact lens = no driving and no working, thats the whole ruddy reason I am having the op. I dont really want to take a month off especially now as my line manager/job share colleague has just handed in her notice and will be gone by Xmas leaving me the only person covering the service, and apparently they may hold off recruiting her replacement until our funding for next year is sorted. I need to phone the consultant on Monday and find out whats the shortest period he's happy for me to leave the lens out for before the op - I wasn't expecting this as obviously last time I didnt wear a contact lens so it didnt apply.

I got the Bissell which I bought two years ago out of its box for the first time  Anyway the poo stains are now off the rug. Unfortunately it just shows how mucky the rest of the rug is, so I'm going to have to do the rest of it but had to stop cos the footie's on. Am watching the match on the new mahoosive telly. Fifty inches of scrumptious awesomeness.

why didn't he have his trousers on?

he was getting ready for dinner and may have thought he was in a more private area than he really was , luckily he did not know I observed him in his underwear so when I spoke with him later I didn't open with good evening High Commissioner I didn't recognise you with your clothes on as I don't want to start a diplomatic incident now do I........
