BillyMalc Posted February 25, 2009 Report Share Posted February 25, 2009 When I booked and tried to explain that I'd be coming in a van - but not a signwritten one! - on me own but with 3 dogs, the lady on the phone said "oh you coming with the Oldies Club then" and was really nice - so I guess they've figured that we're all coming anyway. Not having 50 people with 5 million dogs dotted around other campers who might not like dogs would sure only work in their interest? STOP PRESS Looking at my carefully drawn up list I calculate that we have 26 fugees and 24 family members (50 humans) .......................................................... and 45 dogs That sounds like Glasto to me, only with a better line up, LOL! :) If that isn't gonna be socialisation shock therapy for dogs who need it then I don't know what is! I think Billy has a good point re other campers and not feeling comfortable around lots of dogs. If they allocated pitches for Cher, Billy and Michaela in the same part that would be 11 dogs I'm hopeful that they may have put us all together anyway but it's probably best left to their judgement. I don't want to pressure them into putting us all together, especially if the pressure makes them want to split us up as much as possible. I think, along with the beer festival campers, it's going to be a busy weekend for them so it's probably in their interests to put doggy people together and beer drinking folk in another allotted area but it's really got to be their decision. I'll be there too, one way or another. I'll probably end up being a day tripper again like last year but I was hoping to stay if I can.
