I'm really sorry but I can't really catch up properly  but there are a few things I wanted to say.

Sarah - I found Ronnie when I was hurting so much just a very short time after Reggie. The name itself was an omen  but Reggie left the legacy of helping needing hounds. He was my first baby and accepted Pixie and Alfie so readily. He taught me so many lessons and Ronnie was later to benefit. He wouldn't have denied any of us that privilege.

Phebe - Just quite simply a :GroupHug:

Michelle - I hope all is now well with your doglets :GroupHug:

Laura - So sad to hear the news but I hope she will be stronger in time :GroupHug:

As for my RMF, yesterday my car went in for an MOT and service. I've had it six years and before that it was my uncle's car for three years from new. It's been loved and well cared for. The shock was that a pre-MOT inspection estimated that it would cost over £1200 to pass it  :mecry:  I couldn't believe it! So today, it was part-exchanged for next to flippin nothing   but I have a nice shiny Vauxhall Meriva which will be ready on Monday. They're great for the dogs, what a fab design!! But what an unexpected purchase. Sigh. Never mind. OH only bought a new car last weekend, which he can collect in a week, so the neighbours will think we're rolling in it!!

ETA that I'm going flying tomorrow with OH and his Mum. I might take some photos to encourage the bidding in the auction because it really is great!! :elefant:

Nothing to report on the RMF front, apart from I haven't had my tea yet (apart from two large G&Ts) due to long phone calls, but just didn't want you to think you really had broke it

Phew  thanks

I also have little to report. Except I am on a massive chocolate obsession. Sadly, we have lots of chocolate in the pub I am being norty

Oh and I got ID'd in the supermarket yesterday buying wine  I was gobsmacked and instead of being sophisticated and flirty I blurted out "But I'm 32! I run a pub!" Luckily the guy didn't pursue it as I didn't have any ID anyway...

Oooh - forgot to say. Very nice dress CHasta - everyone seems to be buying fab dresses for parties

I forgot, I ordered some promotional stuff recently and got a thank you letter today with a giant bar of chocolate.

I gave it to one of my team

Sorry again  Had a quick read through this afternoon but not up to date so apologies if I'm missing something and :GroupHug: just in case.

The little collie boy is here and he's a sweetheart - very, very stressy at the moment so no pics tonight but he's been shorn with a razor and so doesn't look terribly pretty at the moment but he'll be fine when his coat grows back  Lovely temperament and seems ok with the cats at the moment - totally fine with other dogs, despite the fact that he's entire. Has grown up around kids.

When we let him loose in the paddock with Hizzy initially, he looked like he was on springs - he just bounced and bounced and played and played, bless him   I have a feeling he might turn into a little treasure with a bit of nurturing :) He's a bit barky and scared of new people so probably needs a bit of socialising but we'll see what we can do on that score. Otherwise he's fine.

I think his coat might have to get shorter before it gets a chance to grow again because despite the shearing, he's still got knots so once he's settled in a bit, he'll be visiting my groomer! Promise I'll start his own thread in dog chat tomorrow.

Many, many thanks to Gwyn (Kaos) for collecting him for me today and bringing him home safe and sound - and even more thanks to her for reassuring his previous owners that he'd be safe - not an easy job!! :GroupHug: :GroupHug:

He's finally lay down - he's been on the go since around 5pm this evening. I think he might sleep well tonight. Now just need to persuade him that a crate is safe .................

RMF: I was reading the manky body parts thread early this morning at work whilst the base op was sleeping.

Well, he was attempting to sleep, as I'd decided to start from page 1.

Everything was fine for 20 minutes, just the occasional snort from me until I got up as far as arse bunting and arse aliens

I admit taking a huge swig of tea as I was reading a huge mistake.

Luckily I avoided the keyboard and monitor, but sprayed a huge mouthful all over the table, to the base op's disgust.

Mind you, it came out of my nose and mouth so I'm not surprised he was disgusted..........

 Blasphemy! I can only imagine that (a) it was a reallllly minging bar of chocolate or (b) you had a momentary lapse of all womanly sense or © you didn't finish the story, and you were actually just teasing said colleague and snatched the bar back before they could dent it????

err no................

I'm not a big chocolate fan unless it's Lindt or Green and Blacks.

So I got the bar in the post, put it on my desk and told my team

savages, they think of my desk as a free canteen

to help themselves.

No one did, so I gave it to the person in latest this evening, whose wife likes chocolate.

Have just attempted to re-read the arse alien thread at work again. It's not happening, I am already spluttering, have half a cup of tea left and the base op is looking at me funny.

He doesn't think anything involving arses is funny, however, he has just admitted to pulling another male when he was younger and very pizzled.......

I was merrily reading away, trying to catch up and then the phone rang ...

Well, apparently I did have a job when I left this afternoon, but as of 10 o'clock - the flippin' time that the agency called me!! - I haven't!! I've booked a week off holidays, and she told me that they don't want me back afters, "because I'm struggling a bit with the job" - !!! Granted, it didn't go as fast and smooth as I would of liked, but I do think that the haphazard "training" by someone, who has got no idea how to train someone else, might have something if not a lot to do with it. However, seeing as things have been going, one of my friends is sure that it wasn't because of that, but because of personality clashes - but of course they can't get away with sacking me because of that if I haven't behaved outrageously (and I haven't, honest guv!). Clashes being with my colleague on the same part of the job, who I quite strongly suspect didn't like me from the start. Thing is, she's only a snotty 21-year-old! (apologies to all not-snotty 21-year-olds, I'm sure you're all lovverly!). Can't believe that I'm essentially being sacked by a toddler!

Aaany case, the long and short of it is that my task for next week will be looking after Mal and mum, as well as organising a new job! Coz Mal's insurance will run out at some point, and I'll be damned if I can't pay for his treatment. Oh boy, I might be a bit up sh!t creek!
