pboae
Oh Billy, I'm sorry. But I am pretty sure the tumour removed from my MiL's dog's mouth was a mast cell tumour, and it had no real effect on him at all. It didn't bother him when it was there, or when it was removed, and he lived for years afterwards.

Houndwoman
Billy here are the links http://www.canine-health-concern.org.uk/ (look at flaxseed oil under 'feeding') http://www.grammasintl.com/ http://www.bodykind.com/productdetails/Cat...fica-100-1x.htm Don't know whether you would wish to do the Quark and flax oil thing as it's not vegan but have a look anyway. Zara's Herbal Tea is really good for all sorts of things. The spirulina helps tremendously-just one tablet a day is all Malc would need. We have had a few cancer cases and when Blackberry was diagnosed with haemangiosarcoma she was only given 8-12 weeks. She lived a very comfortable 14 months and I am certain that the above regime is what gave her that extra time. Our very ancient oldies are on Zara's Herbal Tea and spirulina and I swear it does them good. They also have a teaspoon of Manuka honey each evening which they go crazy for It is quite expensive but goes a very long way. A pot lasts us about 6 weeks for two dogs(they don't all have it). We use the UMF 10 strength which is about £16 a pot. Some NHS hospitals are using it for patients with oral cancers and those having had surgery for oral cancer. Hope that helps. BillyMalc
Hello houndwoman, thanks for that! I've read up on DR Johanna Budwig and the quark and flax oil diet today, and was half convinced - but then found that other, more recent studies like the China Study do not at all support dairy for anyone suffering from cancer and a lot of other conditions. They all have ground up flax seed in their dinner every day as it is, so I will up the protein in Mal's food and add extra flax oil. He's also on glucosamine and MSM for his arthritis though, and recently the vet recommended a general multi vitamin to add to his dinners, just to be on the safe side. I swear that adding all the additions to Mal's dinner takes as long as preparing the dinner itself for all of us! I'm not too sure about adding even more supplements, but then I might leave the gluco/MSM for a bit as his mobility isn't half bad at the moment, and is something that doesn't really have priority right now. What do you do with the spirulina, ground it up and mix it into their dinner as well? Thanks for your help!
Houndwoman
If he takes tablets ok just pop it on his tongue or just put it in his dinner either whole or crushed
