  1. Our house gets discoloured, white to greyish, the whole estate has this problem. What we do, or rather husband does, is uses a solution of bleach on the walls then rinses it off with the hose. Companies do come round our way offering to clean the outside but no idea what they charge. We use a biggish plant sprayer thing to apply it, was from B and Q. What you have to do though is wear goggles and remove all plants and stuff from beside the walls. You could always try doing a small area to see if it helps. AnnS
  2. Hope that you and your family have a lovely Christmas. AnnS
  3. I had problems getting my order as well but did get 2nd one which was posted out. However I had a look on ebay for the fear aggression remedy and same person is listing it on there. I ordered 1 and got it promptly. Was on a buy it now when I ordered now it's an auction item. 4. Our local council offers free compost from local recycling place, just need to bag it and take what you can load into car. Morrisons, supermarket, sell large black empty flower buckets 99p for approx 10.These are large enough for baby carrots, lettuce, leeks, peas, just drill holes in bottom of them. I got a lot of seeds in local £1 shop last year, look for the mixed packs of veg. They also have stuff like seed potatoes and shallots so well worth a look. AnnS

    Fear Agression

I came on to see if anyone had noticed an improvement in their dog's behaviour. Have to say I'm pleased, Maddie seems more relaxed generally. We've had a fairly quiet couple of weeks anyway because Holly had stitches in her paw so walks have been mainly in the fields on softer ground. so not on the busier footpaths. She's been much less reactive when noticing other dogs even from the back of the car.Today she spotted a lab in the playing fields when we went for a runaround with the ball. Usually that would have been enought to trigger off some barking but nothing happened, she just chased her ball and totally ignored the other dog. A few weeks ago I would have put her on her lead and waited till they had left the playing fields. I feel much more relaxed taking her out. So glad I tried these on her. AnnS
  6. I received 1 today, posted yesterday. Hope it works and relaxes Maddie a wee bit. AnnS
  7. Very odd, I'm still waiting for the 1st one and the replacement to arrive. Hopefully tomorrow. AnnS
  8. I chased up my order as advised by Griff. Got reply saying another would be sent asap, neither have arrived. AnnS
  9. I ordered some as well, thought it would be worth trying for Maddie.Got email saying despatched 18th but as yet haven't received it. Spoke to postie today, he reckons there's a delay somewhere along the line as there were very few packages out for delivery today. Glad I'm not the only one waiting. AnnS
  10. What about adding some garlic? Hope her appetite perks up. AnnS

    Dilemma

Poor puupy, wondering if there is another reason, if he's not well or wife ill or something. He probably just finds the dog a bit much, folk forget how much work pups are. Does his wife walk the pup or is it just him? She maybe more open to suggestions. AnnS
  12. I use a harness with Maddie, for the same reason better than her choking. A lot of it is excitement at going for a walk and she always walks much better on the way home. Ideally all dogs should walk to heel but they don't. Walking to heel takes lots of time and patience to perfect. Don't wory about what this person said, it's your dog and your choice. AnnS
  13. Absolutely awful, poor puppy and owner. Hope the evil little monsters who did this are found. AnnS

    Im Appalled

That's absolutely awful, surely a cruelty issue. Lots of bad publicity needed for mortgage company to make them realise they cannot act in such a way. AnnS
  15. Poor Jazz. If she wore a harness with a handle would that make lifting her easier for you? I think some company called ruff something or other make them. AnnS

    Builders

When people across from us were having building work done, the builders rigged up floodlights and worked evenings till 9-10.30ish. It drove me mad because they began around 8ish and also did weekends. It went on for months. AnnS

Yes it's working now for me. Earlier on things just froze. With AOL so thought that was the problem. AnnS
  18. Was at docs yesterday but no info re swine flu in our local surgery, everything was very quiet which is surprising as it's usually busy and a good few days wait to get an appointment. I only made appointment on Monday morning and was offered one next day with a choice of doctors. There have been a few local cases so was expecting to have to wait for a non urgent appointment. AnnS
  19. Phone NHS direct for advice or pop into chemist for a word with pharmicist. Don't like the look of that. AnnS
  20. We've had a, hopefully now sorted neighbour problem this week, and one of the things I investigated was planting some screening in the way of fast growing bamboos and climbers so they can't see in. Is that an option? Hope that you get this sorted out. AnnS
