gooster
Well done Griff Got an 11 hour shift at Trafford tomorrow Am dreading it. I have never worked for so many hours. My brain can be frazzled at the end of an 8 hour shift, so working 11 hours is going to be horrid.
blackmagic
Merledogs, the person who has received a large increase in premium from NCI , who took over from AXA, has been in touch with the ombudsman today and has lodged a compensation claim against AXA with the ombudsman. She was advised that she could ask NCI for a reduced premuim but the most they would give would be 10%. She is not willing to go with them as they have mucked up good time with her renewal. The ombudsman says her claim is against AXA who have withdrawn the lifetime cover that they promised. More complaints may help.
Jazz
no calls from the council while I was out, what a shock! No injections for a while, while they get funding for a new one. different part of the hospital for a different consultant tomorrow one way of getting out lol
Jazz
the council haven't rung. 5 supporting letters, 2 from the hospital, 1 from my GP and 2 from occupational therapists and they cant make a decision!
merledogs
Moaning Griff, we won't tell that you're a nice person Thanks blackmagic. I went with More Than in the end. NCI are so bluddy incompetent that I was getting emails from their finance company telling me my first payment would be going out on 3rd September, even before I'd even received my renewal documentation. Needless to say those DDs got cancelled pretty sharpish.

blackmagic
Moaning Griff, we won't tell that you're a nice person Thanks blackmagic. I went with More Than in the end. Needless to say those DDs got cancelled pretty sharpish. That is what happened to the other prsonbut they also asked for £6000 per year when NCI had quoted over the phone- no paperwork- just over £2000 , whih is bad enough. Jazz
more than are nice. they have been good with me. good prices too. at the renewal, moan its gone up and can they do anything. they will offer you a nights hotel in London, or a doggy hamper, which is 2 bags of vets kitchen complete and a bottle of liquid lucosomine. if they don't tell them they do give them away, your friend got one
gooster
I survived my 11 hour shift. I was a bit peeved though with my last patient, I had a gap at the end of the day, so thought as I had worked 11 hours, if there was no patient, they might have let me go early. No such luck. My last patient arrived having driven especially to the Trafford centre at 8pm for an eye test, but didn't have an appointment I tested her eyes, she wanted new spex, but wasn't going to choose them last night (when the store was empty and she would have had undivided attention from the dispensing assistants), but was going to go home and come back at the weekend (when the store would be absolutely rammed and there would be no room to breathe!). Why not save yourself the trip last night and get it all done on the same day???!!!! I'll never understand people
Yantan
How annoying Jayne. Jazz keep up the good fight Alex what sort of premiums are you paying with More Than if you don't mind me asking. I just did a quote for Archie, who is currently still with AXA @ £11 a month. More than are quoting £17.49 per month for the classic package. I have had other quotes from a number of providers and they all roughly match AXA but I would be willing to pay more if the claim process is easier and the cover is pretty comprehensive. Who to choose - uuuummmm, drums fingers on desk. What a mine field! I have bookmarked the link Blackmagic provided but I still find my head reels with all of this. Happylittlegreensquirrel
still not right after my bout of lord knows what it is I had so I am going to the horse piddle on saturday. if you can afford private here you just book your self an appointment with a specialist or even a consultant online and front up , seriously its a hypochondriacs dream system here. As I can afford £15 I am seeing a Gastroenterologist at a leading private hospital at a time of my choosing ! most of the specialists have done thier post grad training overseas , my dentist has a masters degree in cosmetic dentistry and dental Implants from Warwick Uni and only changes me a tenner for a check up scale and polish of course for a lot of people thats totally out of the question money wise , Its really a country of haves and haves not here currently there is a terrible Drought here in the East and North of Sri Lanka which is I am sure totally not reported outside the country over 200000 people needing water supplies to be taken to them daily , its one of the reasons I refused to the ALS challenge when nominated and donated to charity water instead, I would have felt a tit pouring water on my head when people 5 hours drive away in my country have no water at all http://newsfirst.lk/english/2014/08/rain-pour-colombo-polonnaruwa-still-suffer-drought/50887?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rain-pour-colombo-polonnaruwa-still-suffer-drought
Yantan
Sam as I have watched numerous people, famous and not famous, take the ALS challenge the only thing that's run through my head is "what a waste of water". We should all plan visits to come and help you and get our teeth done and other medical complaints seen to whilst we are there!
