Februarys Fantastic Fabulisms

Had a lovely phonecall this morning which really cheered me up  I am so lucky to know some of the nicest people in the entire world  One of my very few real life friends, Tracy, is a photographer, specialising mainly in racehorses. It's Mollys 13th birthday in a few weeks so I decided to order some nice photos of her favourite horse, Kauto Star, from Tracys website. I knew there was one shot inparticular that Molly had loved recently. They're expensive, so I only ordered four 7x5 photos. Realising who the order was from, Tracy phoned me this morning to check to see if I'd already bought frames for these photos. When I said no she said that was excellent news because she was sending them in A4 size plus a few extras too  Molly already has a couple of Tracys photos of a horse called Sporazene on her bedroom wall. Sadly Sporazene had to be put to sleep after suffering from cancer, Molly was heartbroken. Tracy is giving her extra Sporazene photos too. We often see Tracy at racecourses but she's always too busy working to chat for any length of time so it was lovely to have a long old natter with her

I can't believe my Molly will be 13 soon!

Hope all goes well for Trude

Oh poo! Driving down a road with a line of parked cars ahead (maybe 10 or more) allowed the on coming traffic to clear them (the parked cars were on my side of the road) then started to pass them, two more vehicles (a red skoda and a green landrover) were waiting (so I thought) for me to clear the parked vehicles, just as i got level with the 2nd last parked car, the waiting traffic started coming towards me!!! Result, 2 teeny scuffs on the parked car, and a bit of popped trim and long silver streak down mine :( If they were in such a rush, why not just mount the pavement on their side? GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

the scuff that is on your car, is it paint off the other car??? if so fear not, go to asda or online and buy some of the mantis shine scratch remover

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mantis-Scratch-Remover-V19004-JML/dp/B003XRAJ3U

you need 2 cloths and a lot of elbow grease but it does work, we were going to get my dads rear quarter resprayed after he backed into a painted concrete post, after about 3 years i finally got round to sorting it, it took me 2 hours but the panel now looks fab  try it on a small area first, it is non abrasive and not anything like T-CUT. pee's me off when people do stuff like that, hopefully somebody will damage their car for them one day

Loobie is there a forum you could register with to ask for help??

wow what a lovely thing for your friend to do Pheobejo :flowers:

Jazz, i hope trudy gets on o.k... are they looking for epilepsy or a brain tumour?

Hello :wavey:

There's so many people and pets suffering, I don't want to leave anyone out. I am thinking of you all and hopeing for positive outcomes.

I am not coping too well with work at the moment. I have a huge backlog and more referrals every day, so I had a bit of a meltdown today. I will need to pin my boss down to get some assistance to clear it. Don't know where from though, but it needs doing.

On a lighter note, weekend break last Friday, courtesy of Groupon. I was so pleased to be well enough to go. the hotel and staff were lovely, the location excellent and the free spa treatment was fab too. I had a facial and Keith had a massage. I can highly recommend the hotel if anyone wants one in Newquay. I may put some pics up.

There will be another Groupon deal, but they realised they were too generous, so the next one will only have one treatment thrown in.

I found a lady on Facebook who makes felt animals, so i had a couple done. I am really pleased with them. Jack's doesn't photograph very well, being dark, but you can see the full beauty of Cherry's here.

Thanks for that - the damage to both cars is really minimal (I took photos of their car as experience has taught me you can't always trust other people), but the lady has called me back (I left a note on her windscreen asking her to contact me re an 'incident', so didn't admit guilt). I said I'd rather not take it through insurance companies if possible, and the damage to their car is minimal (2 patches about 2" square on each wheel arch) so i'm hoping my honesty may encourage them to keep it low key.

Hope work improves Marge and the felt doglets are lovely

RMF: I offered to baby sit tonight  I have never baby sat before and have zero baby skills! After almost two hours of crying she finally cried herself to sleep. However my nappy changing skills are second to none, it's a lot easier to change a baby than an adult

My nephew used to scream when ever I held him, until I wore the same perfume his Mum wore. After that I was his fav Aunty!

Not heard anything more from the people with the car, not sure if that's good or not
