from my experience I don't think you do need to be low carb to lose weight flowers.gif

Slimming World does not restrict Carbs in fact it encourages you to eat them , on the plan Mark , GS and I have been doing ( Green days ) we can have unlimited pasta , potatoes & rice. Some carbs are restricted to a set amount ( bread for example ) but carbs are very much part of the plan and between us we have lost nearly 7 stone

I know its horses for courses and low carb clearly works for some people ( you are doing really well ) but carbs are Squirrels friends laugh.gif

Works for me too Sam. :flowers: Being veggie I only do green days and love my carbs!

Lynn, you have done really well and one blip in 10 weeks is pretty bloody good!! Especially if work is hard at the moment. :GroupHug: Keep going, you can get back to it.

Jules, you really just need to find a 'proper' consultant. Mine has been a Godsend when I was struggling, even when having a tough time emotionally she would text or ring to see if I was ok and to give me some tips and a boost. :flowers: There are new groups popping up all over the place so worth checking for another.

I lost half this week and still in target range, though no idea how as things have been tough and I have been binging on bad things!

Can I ask a personal question pleaseunsure.gif

Were those of you that have lost a large amount of weight heavy to begin with.

The reason I am asking is that I have been dieting for the last 8 weeks and have lost 10lbs which I am pleased with but I would like it to come off a bit faster.

I started at 11stone 12 lbs and am now 11 stone 2 lbsbiggrin.gif

I would like to get to about 10.5 but at the rate I am going it will take ages to achieveangry.gif

Yep. Half a pound away from 17 stone. Just under 15 now and am aiming for 10 stone or thereabouts. I'll be happy as long as I'm a size 12 again.

It definitely takes longer, the lighter you are. So long as you are losing, slow but sure is the way to go. It took me six weeks to lose my last half pound last year

Strangely though, whatever size you are, it goes back on just as quick!
