The vet rang this morning to say she is 'very slightly' improved, she's trying to sit up on her own but when they try to move her neck even slightly she's still in a lot of pain. He's switching her from morphine to something that sounded like buca-something-phine, which is slightly less powerful. He's pleased with her but he wants to see 'accelerated improvement' in the next 48 hours. So Saturday will be decision day.

I misunderstood what the vet said yesterday, it's not the disks pressing on the spinal cord it's the inflammation caused by the disk fluid leaking out and getting into the spinal fluid. So if I've understood that properly that's better than it could have been.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but at the same time I'm so hoping she's going to make it.

Thanks again for rooting for my old girl.
