  1. I'm sure you are right. We got a sack of 'worker' recently by mistake, instead of the usual 'complete' and ours are definitely more hyper than normal. As nothing else has changed, I can only think it's the food. They are perfectly fine on a mix of normal Wagg and Arkwrights.
  2. So very sorry for your loss. Think of all the lovely times you shared and the happy life they had with you.

So very sorry but you did the right thing and he knew he was loved. Fly free lovely lad, happy and healthy again.
  4. We lost our Oldies club lurcher girl Sally yesterday. She collapsed in the garden and died at the vets. She was around 15 and had been increasingly senile for some months. Sally was a cute and comical girlie who made us laugh and brightened up our lives for the three years we had her with us. She will continue to be much loved and never forgotten. Thanks Oldies club for letting us foster and then adopt our wonderful old girl.
  5. Poor dogs. This sort of thing will never end though until overbreeding stops and with the money involved I can't see that happening any time soon. There are some sick individuals in our society still these days.
  6. It has been a lovely day today so all the dogs have had extra walks and are now flat out so I can watch the athletics in peace for a while.
  7. Never had an ex puppy farm dog but our current greyhound Flash has spent all his 11 years in kennels and never seen anything but that and the race track. I know racing greys get some socializing with other dogs and do see a few different people at the kennels and track, so it isn't quite the same, but he had never been in a home, seen another breed of dog, or children or anything of the outside world really. However, he has taken it all in his stride and is just the best dog you could wish for.
  8. Nice one! Being naughty must be so much more fun.

So sorry you are to lose your lovely lad but at least you can take comfort from knowing you let him go when the time was right and didn't make him struggle on for longer because you didn't love him enough to let him go. I'm sure you have made many happy memories over the time he spent with you and they will make you smile again in the future.
